That midweek loss may cost Tenn the #1 for now, no?

I doubt it.

Arkansas, UGA, and Texas all have cases for #1 but at the end of the day Tennessee is still tied for first in the SEC standings with two series wins over ranked teams.

They have 1 non-conference loss, same as UGA and Arkansas, and ETSU is actually not a bad team

They will get the benefit of the doubt

I don’t think Texas will because our midweek loss. Seems to be Arky and Georgia right now? Looking forward to the rankings tomorrow.

No reason why Texas shouldn’t jump Arkansas. Winning the series against LSU at home is more impressive than sweeping USC.

My opinion
1 - VOLs
2 - Dawgs
3 - Horns
4 - Hawgs

What's that Kirk Douglas where he's on some gang's "pissing ground" and they don't like it. Yeah, I feel like that around some of you. But you gotta consider where sad joke really lies - this is free sports forum.

If I want to have sober, intellectual - non razzing talk about sports... i'll talk to my friends. You know, those things called real people without keyboards.

It doesn’t normally work that way. Aggie had to lose some bad ones before they were run out if I recall correctly. This ain’t football.

Tennessee’s schedule is very favorable going forward.

@ 1-5 South Carolina
vs 0-6 Texas A&M
@ 4-2 Ole Miss
vs 2-4 Kentucky

@ 4-2 LSU
vs 4-2 Auburn
vs 4-2 Vanderbilt
@ 5-1 Arkansas

I’ve got them at 24-6, maybe better. That’s gonna be hard to beat.

23-2 > 19-3

We have 2 NC losses and that’s the difference imo.

It’s insane, pitching will make or break us but the lineup might be better than last year.

Here is the OPS for each of our batters (10 AB minimum):

Ryland Zaborowski: 1.708 (75 AB)
Robbie Burnett: 1.548 (81 AB)
Christian Adams: 1.070 (51 AB)
Devin Obee: 1.047 (59 AB)
Slate Alford: 1.042 (104 AB)
Ryan Black: 1.037 (47 AB)
Henry Hunter: 1.010 (82 AB)
Nolan McCarthy: .955 (94 AB)
Tre Phelps: .936 (102 AB)
Kolby Branch: .901 (89 AB)
Dan Jackson: .885 (44 AB)
Charlie Jones: .855 (10 AB)
Cade Brown: .717 (15 AB)

And the crazy thing is that our top returnees are actually underperforming compared to last year. Phelps was supposed to be our best player this year, sat at 1.140 last year

Should be fun. For Texas or Tennessee to win the conference, they will each have to play in Fayetteville. Fun baseball

Also, only one team has finished better than 23-7 in conference. Vandy went 25-5, in pretty sure.

I get it, but they lost back-to-back games. So I wasn't sure if they would drop to #2 or #3. They are probably the best team, though, in baseball so far.
