Luckily LSU won the series that matters last year.
The golden spikes runner up on the national runner up should have already been thrown out of the game. Happy he choked in the last game of the year.

It was last season, and winning the championship makes a lesser season much more palatable. A down season would really be disappointing if LSU hadn't worked over Florida when all the chips were down.

For example in 2019 LSU won the series 2-1 with wins of 11-2 and 13-1 in games 2 and 3, yet Florida beat them in the national championship.
