You need to take a deep breath first then go back & read the post again. I'll give you a hint though. When the face of your program is not pushed to watch film or lead 7 on 7 offseason drills, is allowed to get into confrontations with staff members without consequences & basically did whatever he wanted, it's a problem. What kind of example is that setting for every other player in that program?

That pretty much sounds like a culture inside of a program that breeds problems. I'm sorry if hearing that from an opposing fan bothers you that much but you reap what you sow.

If you don't like hearing the truth, that's fine but the truth is like medicine. It maybe nasty & at times we may not want to take it but it is also a necessity.

Its amazing the level of inside information you have into the inner workings of A&M's football program, as you apparently know things that you couldn't otherwise know. How cool for you

By the way - how did the arrest of Jennings and those other 4 LSU football players work out?

You know this fantastic thing called the internet that you are using right now? It's amazing the information you can find on it on a daily basis if you look in the right places, you know?

Here's a quote from one of my post earlier in this thread. If you weren't so damn butthurt, you wouldn't have glossed over it.

quote:

We all know that it is impossible for a football staff to control what their players do off the field yet they have to sent the example & create an environment where irresponsible behavior is frowned upon. They can also create an environment that only adds the fuel that flames negative behavior.

Oh, so the "internet" told you that Manziel didn't watch film and got into confrontations with coaches and did all this without repercussions? Sounds like bullshite to me, and I, like, follow the A&M team pretty damn closely.

"The way we talked about him in meetings, the kid never put in the time he needed to -- studying film, organizing workouts, 7-on-7 workouts -- he didn't do it," said one NFC scout with a Southeastern Conference focus. "His thing would be he's going to show up on Saturdays, 'I'm a gamer.' He'd show up for practices and games but that's about it. Johnny thought he was an NFL superstar before he came [into the league]."

quote:

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel threw an interception or three during a scrimmage on Saturday, leading to an apparent altercation between himself and a graduate assistant. Manziel is terrible suddenly at football and he's really upset about this.

Following his last of three interceptions, on a short pass into the end zone as he ran into the right sidelines, an exuberant graduate assistant jumped up and down within what appeared to be inches of an irate Manziel. So Manziel shoved him. Players and coaches, who were all gathered along the sidelines, quickly separated the Giddy GA and Manziel before anything escalated.

Look, I just moved back to TX like two months ago. News travels slowly up north where the military had me stationed

And I was actually born in Alabama (Montgomery--Maxwell AFB). My parents just moved to San Antonio less than 3 weeks after I was born, though

My NFL druthers are biased toward the Cowboys and the Texans (dad was always a huge Dallas fan, and my wife's from HOU and looks damn sexy in Texans gear ). That'll all change if SA ever breaks through Jerruh's stalemate and lands a team, though.

Never hated the Saints, though. Was happy as hell for 'em when they won the SB. And I'm a fan of Drew Brees

i'm a big cowboys fan. my dad was a minister so getting steered toward tom landry was kind of a no-brainer.

i vaguely remember the 79 season, but have been a fan for a long time. i root for the saints cause theyre local and it's my hometown, but i've never been a big fan.

my generation down here has a lot of favorite teams besides the saints. usually cowboys, 49ers or redskins, but the generations before and after seem to have more saints fans.
