I think it would be awesome for either Ole Miss or State to go to the Sugar Bowl. Either of those fanbases would flood New Orleans.

UF still gets Sugar Bowl invite, even with losses to f$u & bama.

UF has the biggest name, biggest fanbase, most money, travels best, and is most deserving. Nobody cares about miss st. or any of the other little irrelevant west teams. UF to Sugar due to superiority.

1. The Sugar Bowl gets the highest ranked SEC team not in the playoffs.
2. Florida travels about as well as molases in the Siberian winter. I bought tickets to the Sugar Bowl in 2013 for $5 outside the game and there were more Louisville fans in the half filled Superdome than UF fans.

Yea, if we are talking "who do you pick to ensure fans will come", then the answer is 100% either State or Ole Miss. Not even close.

You seem to be leaving out a larger fan base that travels more with the same record as state and 1 game behind OM.

A&M isn't finishing ahead of Ole Miss or State in the final CFB rankings, so they aren't really even in this discussion.

But yes, I would agree that A&M would also 100% travel to the Sugar Bowl better than Florida.

Perhaps I missed it, under what scenario are the aggies even relevant to this conversation? And no ya'll do not travel better. Esp. to NO.

That's because NOLA is a shite hole and Bourbon Street is the most overrated place in America.

Everyone knows this but few will admit it.

I don't think we get the Sugar if we lose both.
But, I don't think we lose both so it doesn't matter.

Go Gators beat Fsucks!

If they finish with the same record as State and with a better record than Ole Miss, and yet finish behind both in the rankings, then that's an issue with the rankings.

I'm not arguing with you on whether it is fair or not, I am telling you that if Florida loses to FSU and Alabama the next highest ranked team will be the winner of State and Ole Miss. That is just the way it is going to be.

You can run your traps about UF all day but one fact remains: Mullen came from UF to give you a small taste of our success. When he leaves soon for greener pastures, same old Mississippi State

That is the funny thing about UF posters.... I hear different things from UF fans about MERLINS.

Dan is a joke on one hand but a great coach that brings success to MSTATE from UF on the other.

So which is it? Do you respect him or do you think he is a joke?

Nevermind, I am keeping all my fricks. You get none!

You mean entire fan bases don't share the same opinions.

WTF?

Wasn't Florida in the Sugar Bowl just a few years ago when they had that embarrassing attendance of like 56,000? Didn't the Compass Bowl in Birmingham outdraw them with Ole Miss.that year? Wonder if the Sugar will remember that.

Just doesn't matter. The Sugar bowl is obligated to take the highest ranked SEC team if the first is in the playoff. It will all work out, don't lose sleep over it.

I agree. I think A&M jumps UF & OM, but not State even thought A&M won head to head.

Ole Miss will be ranked in the Top 20 this week. If they beat Mississippi State, who I would guess will be somewhere between 23-25 in the CFB poll, they will move up another 3-4 spots and be ranked around 14-15.

There is zero chance A&M jumps past them based solely on beating an LSU team that everyone expects to fire their coach. None.

We may not travel the best, but there actually is a decent chance we have the largest fan base in the conference simply because of how many people live in Florida and the success of the program over the last 30 years.

Obviously. That was assuming State wins. OM is the only answer if they win. It could be any of the 4 if UF goes 0-2 and OM goes 0-1 while State & A&M go 1-0.
