ranked higher is not a factor right? They would take the more marquee SEC team and even though AU is a great story it would be hard to pass up TAMU due to the JFF hype. I don't think they would care about the head to head or who i ranked higher

It all depends on who represents the SECw and SECe in the championship.
If it's Bama vs USC, whoever is ranked higher b/w Aub and Mizz will go to the Sugar.
If it's Aub vs USC or Aub vs Mizz, Bama will go to the Sugar.
If it's Bama vs Mizz, whoever is ranked higher b/w USC and Aub will to to the Sugar.
If it's Bama vs UGA, whoever is ranked higher b/w Mizz, USC and Aub will go to the Sugar.
If it's Aub vs UGA, Bama will go to the Sugar.
Side Note: I just watched Mike Tolbert for the Panthers kill a guy at SF.

Given that scenario, it would almost definitely be A&M. It would mean that A&M wins out, so both AU and Mizz would have more recent losses, so A&M would likely be ranked higher than both at the time.
Also, JFF is a major pull, so all else equal, Aggies get the bid.

Fairness has nothing to do with who goes. It's about the best draw/matchup the Bowl can get that they can justify. If A&M wins out the only thing that might keep them from the Sugar is a 1 Loss Bama.
Ask Mizzou about how KU went to the Orange right after Mizzou destroyed them and was higher ranked.
A&M with JFF in his likely last college game would easily be the highest rated BCS Bowl outside of the NC game. The real wet dream is if they can get Oregon as the opponent which is a real possibility. Oregon/TAMU would be must watch TV and the tickets would be $500 each.

I don't think we would drop much by losing to #1 Bama. Especially if it is a close score.
