....Path to the West looks a bit more clearer. Mississippi State losing today eliminates one obstacle. It's not far farfetched that Auburn could drop a game to South Carolina or Mississippi State and beat Alabama.

If Auburn and TAMU win out, TAMU has the tie breaker over both Bama and Auburn. Auburn needs to win out and have TAMU lose a game. Bama controls its own destiny, win out and they are in.

Hold your horses there partner. The sleeping giant was slapped around by Arkansas and State this year and both teams are deep in a rebuild.
Yes, they beat Bama but the Tide barely escaped losing to craptacular LSU and Florida. This might not be the best Alabama team to come out of the tunnel.
The Aggies also have a dream schedule this year in how it lays out for them. That isn't always going to be the case.

They have the firepower to beat you and if Matt Corral gets anywhere near healthy I'd be tempted to pick the upset here.

A&M will run the ball straight down the middle of their line. And their QB won’t step on the field most of the game. The TOP will be heavily lopsided.
I will put money on A&Ms running game over Ole Miss’s passing game. A&M stopped Bama, they can stop Ole Miss.

Georgia got there with Kirby in year 2.
Jimbo's a good coach but he has taken a while to get A&M to where they are now (which is not where Georgia was in year 2). I do like that he is a patient guy though.
