A lot of the cases of these “separations” were when children were traveling with unrelated adults to begin with.

If the actual parents sent the kids up with anyone who wasn’t a relative, why the frick should they get dollar one?
It is difficult to make a good faith argument either for or against an alleged payment, unless we actually know the details of the program. Hence my question.
Does anyone have a link to actual facts about this proposed payment?

It sounds like it would only apply when ICE separated parent from child, and the family has never been re-united. Situations in which agents of the US government permanently lost someone’s child.

Not sure the US owes a duty or (if there is a duty) that $450k is not far too high a figure, but it does not apoear likely to apply to many people.

Again, any solid links about the program?

I thought he was the convicted pedo.
That was Rosenbaum.

Grosskreutz had a misdemeanor conviction a number of years ago, which led to a one year probation during which he was prohibited from possession of a weapon. That probation period expired long ago. It is an easy mistake to make.

I hope the prosecution objects when the defense asks why was a convicted felon in possession of a loaded handgun.
Mark Richards is too smart and well-informed to ask that question, since Grosskreutz was neither a convicted felon nor illegally in possession of the weapon.

Grosskreutz WAS attacking Rittenhouse without legal provocation, so as a competent attorney Richards will probably focus on that.

Interesting that an LSU fan immediately assumed that the thread was aimed at his team.

No

Lawyers get juror names and work field and some other personal stuff. They can find out your specific job but at no time can they ask or are given the juror address
This must vary by state. You definitely see addresses in Texas.
Query:

Did Aggy show up on TD years before actually joining the SEC and be the annoyng gadflies that we are seeing now from OU and t.u.?

Why are you asking about Christian’s sheep?

I have always felt for a high profile case, the jury should be behind a mirrored glass wall, that only they can see out. No one should be able to see them. The only contact they have with other jury members is when they make their verdict
No thank you.

If a lawyer cannot see the jury, he cannot read the jury and adjust his presentation or respond intelligently to plea offers. If you are on trial for your life, do you want your lawyer to have no way to judge jury reaction?

Sequestration? Yes.
Total isolation? No.

Do you contend that a healthy Arkansas would be favored over a healthy TAMU next Saturday?

How much of YOUR net worth would you bet on that game?

Your hogs have a good team, and they are on the right traectory with the right coach for their squad. But, all things being equal, the Aggies are a better football team today.

When the walk on second string QB came in, and A&M was still able to run the ball deep from their end zone,
Didn’t he take two snaps before Calzada returned?

two losses and need to cheer for other teams to win in order to win your division.
That says more about the strength of the division than anything

It’s not clear at all…

It’s basically a cluster frick full of teams who can beat each other up. Alabama still has to play Auburn and Arkansas. aTm still has to play Ole Miss and LSU.
Everyone is hating on Alabama, but I have a hard time doing so. Look at my Aggies. When we had a bunch of people hurt, we let ourselves get beat by Arkansas and Mississippi State.

Alabama has a bunch of folks hurt now, and they are still winning. Ugly, but winning nonetheless.

The committee is never going to overlook the SEC champion… even if that champion has two losses.

It’s really an argument for why we need an expanded playoff.
No personal offense, but this topic is so tiresome.

With four teams, someone will always argue that there should be eight. With eight, someone will always always argue that should be 16. With 16 someone will always argue there should be 32.

And there is never going to be ian “All-NCAA” tournament.
