A lot of the cases of these “separations” were when children were traveling with unrelated adults to begin with.
If the actual parents sent the kids up with anyone who wasn’t a relative, why the frick should they get dollar one?

Does anyone have a link to actual facts about this proposed payment?
It sounds like it would only apply when ICE separated parent from child, and the family has never been re-united. Situations in which agents of the US government permanently lost someone’s child.
Not sure the US owes a duty or (if there is a duty) that $450k is not far too high a figure, but it does not apoear likely to apply to many people.

Grosskreutz had a misdemeanor conviction a number of years ago, which led to a one year probation during which he was prohibited from possession of a weapon. That probation period expired long ago. It is an easy mistake to make.

I hope the prosecution objects when the defense asks why was a convicted felon in possession of a loaded handgun.
Grosskreutz WAS attacking Rittenhouse without legal provocation, so as a competent attorney Richards will probably focus on that.

If a lawyer cannot see the jury, he cannot read the jury and adjust his presentation or respond intelligently to plea offers. If you are on trial for your life, do you want your lawyer to have no way to judge jury reaction?
Sequestration? Yes.

It’s not clear at all…
It’s basically a cluster frick full of teams who can beat each other up. Alabama still has to play Auburn and Arkansas. aTm still has to play Ole Miss and LSU.
Alabama has a bunch of folks hurt now, and they are still winning. Ugly, but winning nonetheless.

The committee is never going to overlook the SEC champion… even if that champion has two losses.
With four teams, someone will always argue that there should be eight. With eight, someone will always always argue that should be 16. With 16 someone will always argue there should be 32.
And there is never going to be ian “All-NCAA” tournament.
