Alabama hindered by the fact that they don't have Alabama on their schedule.

Opponent records does not necessarily = strength of schedule.

There are many ways to calculate schedule strength. The most commonly used method is to combine opponents’ records from the previous season. Using this metric the toughest 2018 schedule belongs to Florida St, whose opponents won 63.4% of their games in 2017. Followed by Nebraska (62.8%) and Michigan (62.7%). You can see by using this measurement New Mexico St (37.2%), UAB (38.5%) and Ohio (40.1%) have the easiest schedules for 2018.
I want to remind you that this is the NCAA’s method, not mine.

The SEC clearly caters to Mississippi State and Alabama in the West.

And the fact that Tenn is your permanent East opponent.

Even though the rankings are based on opponents '17 records, this is bad. Really bad.

You misspelled Georgia and Washington.

Recalculate with an sec Championship game

That'd put Auburn playing Georgia twice and Washington.
Bama playing them only once.
Try again.

Which is surprising considering every bama loss in the last decade has been to themselves.

That's part of it. Vols need to step up their game. But it's mostly because they don't have Alabama on their schedule.

Glad you cleared that up. I thought it was the Citadel and ULL that was killing bama's SOS.

Eh, FSU was preseason top 5 last year.
Let's see if Washington maintains the hype.

The Louisville game had potential to get a big billing but after Lamar left everyone assumes Bama will boat race them. I remember Bobby giving Saban fits. I think Louisville is better than given credit for and Bama should win but they’re not blowing Louisville out.

They'll probably win the Pac 12 again.

No more than Liberty and Alabama State is hurting Auburn.

Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida....get your shite together. You're killing State's SOS.
