As an aside, the upvotes/downvotes on the first page really show the mood the board has towards these aggy threads
I think it shows a bunch of mad tigers. Any non postive LSU thread is exactly the same. LSU has trouble dealing with the truth at times. Go read the LSU financial threads if you don't believe me.

"Strange situation for now eligible Jared Foster"
What's strange about it? The NCAA and SEC declared him eligible, which they do for athletes who appeal all the time.

Why would LSU fans be mad about this thread? A player we thought was gone for the year is back. Looks all positive to me.

How many times have you seen this rule used in the history of college sports? Its not strange then you should have loads of examples... right?

You would think, but any discussion of the details got downvotes and lots of deflection.

Just where did the bad LSU touch you, "obsessed farmer" ? You really should just let it go, your obsession is simply not good for you ! LOL @ u

All I see is the NCAA, and SEC, granting an appeal to overturn an ineligibility ruling, which happens all the time.

im not going to go back and read the financial thread but anyone who made a comment about lsu and their financials was either trolling or a complete idiot. One is better than the other, but still not great.

He won his appeal based on what coach Paul Maineri termed an “obscure” NCAA rule.

No one gives a shite about these things. If this wasn't an LSU player using the rule, you wouldn't either.
All LSU, all the time.

i think this is more lsu's fault for not knowing the rules. Had they known them, then he never would have sat out. And no one would have found out about it. Which is probably what happens most of the time. LSU dropped the ball on this one, no doubt.

Page 5 before we get actual discussion. You're probably right.

You've been here a lot longer than I, but that's just the way this board works I guess. Anything that can possibly be taken as a slight is seen as one.
There's a lot of (often humorous) trolling on this board, but sometimes legitimate discussions get derailed by a couple of sensitive posters.
One could use your baseball poll threads as an example.

You seem very upset....how can we help you ?

Y'all are piling on Farmer too much, he just wanted to talk a little baseball.
Let's talk some baseball.
Tell us about the kid that subbed for Foster and lit it up.

Paul Byrds son. I didnt watch the game, only the highlights. But he dinked it around. Didnt really hit anything hard.
He would have been 2nd on the depth chart if Foster stayed gone. I think he just played because it was a midweek game. So now that Foster is back he's back to 3rd on the 2nd base depth chart.
I do think he has a chance to be a pretty good player, but he wont play much the rest of the season.

His department probably got cut during LSUs bankruptcy plan, so they let him transfer to a different department
