And how does 2011 Alabama make the list at #16, but 2011 LSU doesn't make the list at all?

Yet he has 2005 Texas and 2005 USC in the list?

Guy is just stupid.

We don't go around saying we can beat an NFL team. That's another fan base you're thinking of

Miami at #1 invalidates his opinion completely.

getting butthurt about a team with 38 NFL Draft Picks being considered the #1 team. They combined for 43 Pro Bowls.

Seriously, 2001 Miami is often cited as top five all time squad.

Because they aren't the best TEAM. Every time someone cites the Miami team all they talk about are individual awards and accomplishments. Just like you did here.

Never do I hear a word about what a great TEAM they were.

He’s got 2002 OSU and Miami.

Pretty sure 2002 UGA or 2002 USC could beat either (or lose both were good teams).

I was just coming to post this 2005 USC is the highest rated non-champ on the list and you only have the team that beat them in their own hometown (yes rival's stadium but still) at 3?

It certainly was the greatest game of all time as both teams came sporting a combined (and still record) 53 game winning streaks (34 USC v 19 Texas). Only time two Heisman winners were on the same team for a game. And the lowly underdog who should have won the Heisman punked them in their own back yard with all the hollyweird celebs in attendance.

That 2001 Miami team had the most future NFL talent I mean when Frank Gore who would go on to finish 3rd in the NFL in all time rushing and he could only get 62 carries it says how insanely deep they were but that team itself just wasn't that dominant. You squeak out a 2 point win in Blacksburg, and 11 point win in Boston, and get gifted the easiest BCS championship game from the entire BCS system you don't get to be #1.

But they are.

The Hurricanes scored 512 (42.6 points per game) points while yielding only 117 (9.75 points allowed per game), for an average of 32.9 points a game, the largest in the schools history, Boston College and Virginia Tech needed 4th quarter plays to win but besides that, Miami won every other game on its schedule by at least 22 points, and set the NCAA record for largest margin of victory over consecutive ranked teams (124–7).

Does that help?

ETA: From 2000 to 2002 Miami went 11-1, 12-0, 12-1. I don't think you're giving credit just how good they were

If the very first team on the list didn’t make it clear how bad/ridiculous this list is then 2019 OSU being 14th should remove all doubt.

I didn't realize there were Pro Bowls in College Football. When did that start?

Nope just 2002 OSU

Here are his non-champs in the list

12. 2000 Miami - 3rd behind FSU beat Florida 37-20 in Sugar Bowl
13. 2005 USC - lost to Texas
14. 2019 Ohio State - Lost to Clemson in the CFP
21. 2004 Auburn - 3rd behind Oklahoma beat Virginia Tech 16-13 in Sugar Bowl

2019 Ohio State being on the list and 2019 Clemson not being on the list is the *real* head scratcher.

It's impossible. No team on that list would beat 01 Miami under those rules. Conversely, 01 Miami would not beat any of those teams in their year. It's a silly off-season article.

So good you thought you needed to cite 3 years of teams to justify a single mention.

They barely held on to beat 8-4 VT in 2001.

I never said they were a bad team, I said they don't deserve to be #1.

Even if you believe 2019 is better, there are like 5 Miami fans online so that won't help your engagement to put them at #2

There is a lot of stupid in this list, but the most stupid is 2019 OSU being anywhere near this list.

They weren't even the 2nd best team in the country that year. How in the hell are they on there?

2004 AU > 2004 USC

I'll die on that hill.

Ehh. The 2002 Ohio State team had like 32 draft picks on it.

People forget how much NFL talent was on the field on both sides of the ball in that Fiesta Bowl.
