Exactly. Face value is completely irrelevant.
All that said, like the previous poster just posted, nothing will come of this. He isn't going to rat himself out. His grandfather made a ton of money on oil for those that are curious.

im telling you no way he could even pay face value....bc 2 tickets for him and his buddy face value is over $7k....market value more like $15k+...either way, if someone wants to press the issue....manziel can not produce a receipt like he claims to have purchased said tickets

When is the last time you got a receipt for buying some tickets from a scalper or a buddy?

I don't doubt he received some special consideration given his notoriety, but good luck proving that. Ain't happening.

Not as much money as people think. Especially if it was inherited from the grandfather. There isn't that much money in old royalties. All the Eagle Ford is new, and he's originally from Tyler. East Texas is Haynesville and gas ain't worth shite at the moment.

For the record, the highest court side seats for Mavs-Spurs (December 30th) are $588 on Stubhub. Definitely affordable for an oil baron.

Manziel went to a Texans game several weeks ago and sat in a box as well and I doubt he bought the tix on Stubhub. He was also with RC Slocum so I am sure compliance was all over it.

Well it's only $12,423 per seat for an entire season so face value of the tickets in question would be $376.45 per ticket. It's appearant that people are not understanding the difference between stub hub and face value. LINK
