I mean, yeah, in one of three games against Bama that's what he did. The other two games he threw back breaking picks.

He also led UGA to double digit leads in both those games until the defense let him down and put him in a hole

Like I said, I think that Stetson is good, and can definitely have a career in the NFL. Me saying that he can be a solid backup isn't a slight to him. Hell, he might be able to be a decent starter, who the hell knows.

Not what I'm saying at all. I think he's the best player in college football right now and was questioning if he made a mistake by coming back.

I think Stetson Bennett is good enough to play in the league. If not as a starter he will be a solid backup.

He is a very accurate qb and is good at reading defenses. That is what it takes in the NFL. Sure there are different styles and some can make more athletic plays and so forth. But if they can't read defenses and make accurate throws, then they are already washed up in the league. But SB can do both.

He is already making close to a million in NIL, is having his graduate degree paid for, has managed to live the college life for 6-7 years without being considered a loser, and may end up with two national titles. I would say he is simply winning.

Why didn't he enter the draft he's costing himself millions.

To repeat as national champ.

Best job in the world. Stand along the sideline holding a clipboard and wearing a baseball cap while making millions of dollars. You don't get hit. Just stand and go to the bank.

BTW, he’s good enough to Quarterback a National Championship team

So was Matt Mauck

Mauck got drafted in the 7th round.

Also... Mauck was not particularly good in the NCG (124 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT). LSU largely won despite him.

Bennett was pretty solid for UGA in the NCG (224 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT). He was a major reason UGA won rather than lost and won the MVP.

He is creating his draft stock. I'd say coming back was a great decision for him. He appears to be a lot better this year.

That has nothing to do with NFL talent scouting considering his hype and lack of real arm talent.

2023 NFL Draft Top Prospects First Look: Quarterbacks

1 CJ Stroud, Ohio State 6-3, 218

2 Bryce Young, Alabama 6-0, 194

3 DJ Uiagalelei, Clemson 6-4, 250

4 Cameron Ward, Washington State 6-2, 223

5 Kedon Slovis, Pitt 6-3, 205

6 Phil Jurkovec, Boston College 6-5, 214

7 Brennan Armstrong, Virginia 6-2, 212

8 Tyler Van Dyke, Miami 6-4, 224

9 JT Daniels, West Virginia 6-3, 210

10 Hendon Hooker, Tennessee 6-4, 218

11 Jake Haener, Fresno State 6-1, 195

11 Spencer Rattler, South Carolina 6-1, 210

13 Devin Leary, NC State 6-1, 215

14 Jayden Daniels, LSU 6-3, 185

15 Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma 6-0, 205

Can anyone honestly say Bennett isn't better than anyone in that group?

ETA: That list is from Sept 1 and Kentucky QB isn't even there and he's in the top 2 or 3 in every list 3 weeks later. To say Bennett has no chance ignores how well he's playing

Tennessee already faced the 5th best rated 2023 NFL QB prospect in Slovis at Pitt and destroyed him. Our defense has improved this year almost as much as our offense.

I mean, according to a lot of Alabama fans Stetson has only played in one meaningful game. The other games were meaningless.

I think you are right. But, I'm not sure he wants a protracted NFL career. He is getting a Law Degree (I think?) and his family has a large, successful business. He might try the NFL just to see if he can make it, but i don't think it is what drives him. He seems to be driven by proving people that underestimate him wrong.

Honest question. What do you think he lacks in arm talent? I see his biggest detriment to be his height. What is it about his arm talent do you believe is lacking?
