I haven't watched whatever this is outside of this clip, but I imagine it had something to do with South Carolina beating Kentucky the week before and Hackett being a Wildcat

I remember being at that game and it happened right in front of the LSU section. I didn’t fully understand what happened till they showed the replay on the screen and the USC crowd went nuts.

I could never understand how the SEC head office said that the guy was just trying to avoid contact. He stepped directly into, not away from, Garcia's running path and when Garcia cut back he leapt at him and gave him a forearm shiver.

I remember seeing that live on television. I legit thought the ref was having flashbacks to his playing days. He squared up on Garcia before tackling him to the ground.
