LSU had enough hitting in an up and down SEC but we shall see. As for yesterday? Getting calls 8 inches off the plate and 6 inches high plays a role. The Vols tend to walk a lot and take a lot of pitches. With an ump that seemed to believe he was calling a horseshoe match it hurt them.
He was equally bad for both teams but good teams adapt yo their situation.

They adapted to Skeenes but that last guy wasn’t even close enough to the zone to swing at. Hopefully in the rematch it’s an actual strike zone instead of a strike area code.

You are correct. It is a shame Ut got that benefit for their pitchers and Skenes didn't. Give Skenes the same strike zone as the dozen or so Ut pitchers had and he throws 20 fewer pitches.
