Wow. Made it almost a whole page without fagatron and the AU horde descending on a State thread

ETA: we lose kids because try can't cope with our system and practices. Not because they are pot heads and thugs.

Showers isn't that much better than Manziel tbqh. He'll probably win the job and Manziel's off the field behavior didn't help him but Showers isn't some clear cut starter at this point. Either one could play and be effective if it comes to that IMO.

Nice Call. State RB Grindle likely headed to Pearl River CC.

State RB Grindle

Moved to CB in practices, where he'd likely fall behind Banks, Slay, Broomfield, Love, Calhoun, and Redmond/Giles(in his own class). Nevermind that we've got Gabe Miles and(likely) Justin Cox and one more coming in next year. Was likely to be buried on the depth chart his whole career @ this position. Clearly was never going to play RB for us either...

Showers has nada for experience in gametime either.

If by "less than 40 passes" you really mean like 4 snaps, you're right.

Plus, they're ALL new to the system.

So it's pretty much a wash except that Showers looks best right now and he's a year or two older.

I agree that it would hurt, but it's not as big a deal as you make it out to be because none of our QBs has college game experience, none is a veteran college leader, and none knew this syetem before this spring.

I don't know why you keep saying he only had four snaps.

Last year he was 4/5 passing for 40 yards with 9 carries for 33 yards and a TD. His TD came against top 15 Kansas State on the road.

He doesn't have a ton of experience but he is significantly ahead of Manziel in that department.

He wasn't projected to start. But yes, it was a very dumbass move.

Every football team hopes their starting QB doesn't get hurt. That's pretty much a statement of the blindingly obvious, so I fail to see how it's a particularly salient observation when made about A&M.

Salient means obvious or blatantly important in this context. So you fail to see how it's blindingly obvious? Might want to check the value of that diploma.

AU....dyer, Malzahn,Pike gone

Dyer - Good, but it's been well over a decade since AU hasn't fielded a good RB.

Malzahn - Will be missed, but looking forward to getting back to smash mouth football.

Pike - Good riddance.

2 of the 3 will be missed, but they aren't program crushing blows.
