I hope, but Auburn ain't beating Bama, at least not in BDS. They'd have a chance if it was on the plains.

It's possible because anything can happen in the Iron Bowl, but the way AU is playing right now does not lead one to feel confident in it happening.
Regardless I'll be happy if we win out. 11-1 is an excellent season for any team

You do want it. A Big 10 champion Ohio State team carries a lot of media bias in its favor and will draw way more eyeballs and money to the playoff than a runner up Mississippi State.
It's the sad reality of the situation. I think a 1 loss MSU team would be deserving but very likely to get left out for a bigger name team.
