Or the curse has continued and LSU finished last in the SEC like the last 2 national champions

It does seem to be a trend.

State and OM were picked last and next to last in the conference. They both came out with impressive series wins against top 20 teams picked ahead of them. There's definitely hope for us both.

I think I’m in the minority after this weekend as an LSU fan but I walked away more impressed with state than disappointed in us.

I don’t think we are the #2 team in the country but I believe we are very good.

Y’all can swing it. And made us pay for mistakes. Kudos and good luck the rest of the way

State seems better in all phases. Except for a couple of hiccups this weekend, our pitching is much better, our defense is better too…I know everyone looks at the hitting this weekend but the first two areas are where we are better. Hitting can come and go. And we are better there too.

I am cautiously optimistic but it is a long season so we will see.

Two series in a row vs LSU, but last season we were boo-boo. I’m cautiously optimistic, but it’s still too early.

For the first time since the Natty's did both teams perform like they've been accustomed to for the last 25 years or so. Is it a trend or a fluke? We'll see.

It's the curse. LSU will finish last in the west

Yep...LSU needs to sort out a dependable pitching rotation (Friday - Sunday) and who in the bullpen will step up early this season. Could be a bumpy ride, but it will be fun.

Going into this game I thought the strength of this LSU team was pitching. Either LSU pitching is not that good or State's hitting is that much better than expected. Y'all smacked LSU around this weekend. I expect LSU to improve but State looks legit this year.

LSU has won many national championships and haven’t had a curse in baseball. Miss state and ole miss were just bad baseball teams to finish last

This was not the same roster that played in Biloxi last week. Was this an AI graft?
