Well someone told me Butch said he did not want to leave Auburn right now- then about 2 hours later I heard that he would come if offered. But nobody knows what's going on right now. I'm done trying to figure it out.

It's ok Random State Fan. I've given up myself. Which is why I decided to start my thread of some random coach to see if it sticks. My guess is as good as anyone's. I'm more optimistic on Butch than I originally was but I'd be surprised. I bet he's just using us as leverage too.

I think you might be closer to LSU level. Go after the big names, they say no and then remove the interim tag.

Meh, no one really knows what's going on with this search. Lots and lots and lots of speculation being tailored and pushed by different individuals. The fact that we're still playing does throw a wrench into things. I have no doubt about that.

He was approached during the season after Cannizzaro was fired and told MSU he wasn't interested. That doesn't make Thompson special, or even sought-after. Just that he wasn't interested in talking about the job and he was happy at AU. Cocksucker Cohen likely talked to at least 25 coaches about the job because of the amount of time. If he didn't he's an idiot. Cohen has a list of probably 5 coaches that are stack ranked - now likely expanded to 10 - that he's scratching off one by one.
You may think I'm off my rocker, but if he and Sonny Golloway wouldn't kill each other because of their similar temperament, that may be a good choice. He has the pedigree but he's a bonafide cocksucker extraordinaire, so that may not work. Look up his resume, and he coaches in the same fashion as Cocksucker Cohen. For the record he was fired at AU for NCAA violations that later didn't materialize. They were trumped up allegations, and he was really fired for being a bonafide cocksucker extraordinaire that ruffled too many feathers in the athletic department.
(edit) If you have an "in" with Cohen you ought to email him after you look up Golloway's resume.

I'd rather still be playing and win a title this year than losing a regional and crossing my fingers that the new coach can win one within 10.
If that means Henderson is the coach IDC. If he's good enough to win the first title in school history then he's good enough for Mississippi State.

Yeah...I don't think so. The dude is from Amory and wouldn't tell MSU that without long and hard consideration in the worst case of circumstances. My take is he hasn't been offered the job and won't be offered the job until he's next on the list.
