While I would somewhat agree with this, the stadium itself feels really cheap when inside. In the concourse, it gives off the feel of a high school stadium. And the whole thing just feels aluminum. A lot like Middle Tennessee's stadium if you've ever been there.

Also think Auburn is the most underrated stadiums and football atmosphere. Really cool place
It's high time Auburn kicked off a major renovation of JHS.

Sanford Stadium is my favorite venue I've been to.
Auburn is up there too.
Bama's stadium really isn't all that, but the atmosphere is incredible...really good fans for the most part too and I've been there 8 times in a row (every other year).
Fayetteville is AWESOME but Little Rock is the literal worst so that brings Arky down some.
Obviously biased but LSU's atmosphere is second to none and I love the stadium.
Ole Miss *yawn*
Starkville stadium meh, good people
Auburn is gorgeous. Really have enjoyed my 2 trips there but it's been way too long. Planning to be there next year.
Gainesville was really disappointing. Stadium and atmosphere. Fans too.
Carolina was a pretty unique tailgating experience with the train cars. I actually really like Williams Bryce. I've only been once and had batteries thrown at us from the student section (AA). Won't judge all of their fans on this but that sucked. They also did the gator chomp at us (we had lost to UF the week before) and I thought that was hilarious as they hadn't beaten florida in some time.
aTm haven't been since Johnny's days and it was a day game and the atmosphere was weak. Stadium was ok. The traditions were unique and cool. I haven't been for a fball game in a while but did make the basketball game this year. College station keeps getting better and better as a college town. Used to be a giant dirt patch.
Tenn is pretty good. Neyland is cool. The Vol Navy is cool. Their fans were awesome in Tenn, the worst at the SEC champ game last time we faced them in 2007.
Have not been to Nashville, Lexington, or Mizzou. Although I hear the first two of those are hella good trips. Heading to Austin this year and really looking forward to it.
Only Venue I have been to and not seen an LSU win in is Gainesville and oddly enough Fayetteville/Little Rock. Hogs and Gators have had my number thus far. Have been twice to each (1 in Fayetteville, 1 in Little Rock)

These attempts at these sort of lists and rankings are a waste of time and effort. They rely strictly on a biased metric often times from a voting block that has never even visited most of these places.
When you add-in the 'based upon proposed improvements' criteria it's even more ludicrous.
I have visited all of the stadiums in this conference at least once, some many times, but with full disclosure I visited A&M's place during a non-football weekend.
With that said A&M has, bar none and hands down, the finest facilities, the finest stadium, in the country not just the conference.
After that it's all very subjective.
Different sizes, different shapes, different capacities, different amenities, different atmospheres.
Attending a day game at LSU against La Tech is completely different than a night game in Death Valley against Bama. And that holds true for all of our stadiums. So, in the end, it matters in terms of perception.
So do we grade by size? By bathroom and concessions facilities? By ease of access? By surrounding amenities? By tailgating facilities and opportunities? Pomp and circumstance? Atmosphere? Seating space? Video boards? Music? Half time shows? Etc., Etc. Etc.
After A&M everyone is pretty much bunched together. It's all about favorites after A&M.
Mizzou is next to last at the moment.
Vandy is way down at the bottom separated from everyone else. But Nashville makes Vandy a helluva road trip.
I like Auburn's place and wish we played them more often.
I like making the trip to Florida and their place has come a long ways since the 90s ... but all of us can pretty much make that same argument.
Georgia ... never been crazy about the process, access, into and around their stadium, but once inside it's a great place to watch a game. Getting in and out is a bit on a lot of different levels.
Bryant Denny is a great road trip, great tailgating.
Vaught Hemmingway ... I've been to more games there that anywhere else because of my years as a kid and adult (off and on) living in an around Memphis and Olive Branch. Oxford and The Grove are great.
Tiger Stadium Death Valley ... have witnessed some interesting things there in my seven or eight trips there over the years. It's an intimidating place to play at night. Fans can be crazy but the tailgating is good. The stadium itself is solid.
Miss State is one of the nicest places to see a game around. It's different than almost anywhere else in the conference. First class facilities. Definitely not the biggest but totally first class.
Kentucky ... I have not been up there since all of their latest improvements but I have heard from friends that it is absolutely top notch. I've been there nine times.
Arkansas is a special case. Been to Fayetteville three times and Little Rock twice (once for a SC game). Also been to Little Rock once for a Texas game where I narrated a Golden Knight jump where my teammates jumped in the football in the late 80s. (I had a broken ankle at the time so I narrated instead of jumping). They have top notch facilities in Fayetteville, nosomuch in Little Rock.
Mizzou ... meh. They're different, God Bless'em. They're working to come up to SEC standards.
Finally, Tennessee. Neyland is an okay place, seats too many and too tightly. Next to Ole Miss I've been there third most behind SC of course, then Ole Miss then UT. I can tell you that the 70s and 80s were not particularly good, in terms of facilities, at UT. Big crowds overwhelmed the infrastructure. That sort of continued into the 90s but the level of football they were playing in the 90s sorta overpowered the bad stadium experience. They've made some improvements over the years and they've still got the river and Calhoun's and all of that, which is cool, but I would personally have to, and it pains me to do this because all of my family up there are huge Tennessee fans ... but Neyland is not a Top 7 or 8 stadium facility in this league. No way, no how.

Y'all are still fighting Vandy as the worst overall athletic program in the SEC. In fact at least they have a Natty in a major sport. Y'all not so much. How bout y'all beat the true Mississippi school know as Ole Miss first before you tackle a program that has the second most national titles in the SEC.

But Razorback stadium is pretty decent, except for the upper decks. Those frickers are going to collapse and kill people one day.

For a really big game Auburn is as good as anywhere. We struggle to create that atmosphere against the Arkansas, Texas AMs, and Miss schools though. Not sure if others places have that issue or not

Scrooster,
So in summation, you just lamented the impracticality of stadium threads, and then proceeded to write an essay on that very topic.
Also, the metrics for ranking criteria were quite clear. You obviously overlooked the whole “reading” aspect since you’re mentioning tailgate atmospheres.
Lastly, I’m glad you recognize the “subjective” nature of the prompt. Alas, this is an opinions forum. Hence the opinions.
Better luck next time bud.

I've been to Georgia, Auburn and SCAR. I thought Georgia had a great game day atmosphere, Auburn's stadium and Jumbotron was cool, and at SCAR just gives you a headache because they are always playing something dumb through the speakers.
Really wanna see A&M and LSU

Damn I guess I ruffled someone's feathers. Idc where a stadium ranks. I'm not 12 years old, so that doesn't really matter to me anymore. I was giving my opinion on Ark's stadium. Calm down, little boy.

LSU, inside the stadium was pretty awesome. Going to the bathroom or concessions was like the opening scene to Saving Private Ryan.

Auburn is the shittiest place to go in the SEC. HORRIBLE tailgating experience. Fans are absolute trash.
I thought this was about stadiums? Stadium rankings depends entirely on what your criteria is, whether it's seating capacity, amenities, cleanliness, beauty, etc.

Examples?
Also, there's a well documented history of Bama fans being trashy after games. See: teabagger, multiple shootings, Harvey...

Tiger Stadium
Jordan Hare
Sanford
Bryant Denny
Ben Hill Griffin
Vaught Hemingway
Neyland
Davis Wade
This is how I would rank the game Day atmospheres I’ve been to. LSU beat Tennessee pretty bad so the atmosphere was lacking at that particular game
