Does Jerry Stackhouse understand that he has the most “progressive” and “diverse” athletic director and athletic department in all of P5? Like 99.99% of everyone affiliated with Vanderbilt literally LOVE the fact he is black. They don’t, however, love winning 1 SEC game a year in basketball. With their funky gym and academic “prestige”, they could actually be permanently good at basketball. And this coming from someone like me that truly fricking hates Vanderbilt and most of their arrogant alums. Hell, Vanderbilt fan/alum or not, nobody is walking around Nashville upset at the fact that Jerry fricking Stackhouse has black skin. Literally nobody
But like, if you can only win one or two fricking SEC games a year in year 3 or 4, wouldn’t it actually be racist to treat him differently by NOT firing him just because he has black skin? Like is he saying he doesn’t deserve to be fired just because of his black skin? Does winning and recruiting just not matter in the SEC anymore?
Cuonzo Martin pulled this same card on the entire Tennessee fanbase when we rightfully complained about being on the verge of an NIT bid as we were scoring 55 points a game with a roster that had 3 NBA player on it.

I said it a couple of years ago and I'll say it again: Dude's an affirmative action hire. The former AD was a real clown, folks. Steve Forbes winning at ETSU and Vandy hires Stackhouse?

Was he a diversity hire? Vandy was a respectable program. These last two hires have just tanked the program

I’ve flown on a lot of airplanes. Some of the pilots were HoF quality. But that doesn’t mean someone should put me in charge of flying a plane, Jerry.
These kind of statements from a racist failure like Jerry could make some ADs hesitant to give qualified minority candidates a chance. Jerry is feeding the perception that it is harder to make a change if a minority coach doesn’t work out, so why put your school in that predicament?
Vanderbilt took a massive risk in giving him the job. What a feckless ingrate.
