Damn. Some of people are weird.

texas actually had a program to destroy, SCAR is a historically terrible program so its not a big deal

Mack won 8-9 games every year since 2009.

Mack Brown didn't "do" anything to Texas.
Those fools dug their own hubris-laden, LHN nightmare grave.

Spurrier built South Carolina so he has a right to tear it down if he wishes

To compare us to Texas is a compliment so thank you.

Except USCe suuuuuuuucked pre Spurrier. Texas is a traditional powerhouse.

If you take Mack Browns tenure away, Texas has been pretty bad for 50 years. He had 10/11 of their 10 win seasons.

You type "sucked" with such aplomb and enthusiasm. It's as if you know how to do it well and are able to do it justice in your translation from the actual act over to the word on a message board.

LOL Wut?
You may want to check your history a bit. Since the end of WW2 Texas has 23 seasons with 10 or more wins and only 9 of those are Mack's.

Actually, he went 5–7 in 2010. But personally, I think programs like Texas and Nebraska are getting what they deserve after firing coaches that were doing decently. Look at Mack Brown's overall record at Texas:
1998: 9–3 (#15)
1999: 9–5 (#21)
2000: 9–3 (#12)
2001: 11–2 (#5)
2002: 11–2 (#6)
2003: 10–3 (#12)
2004: 11–1 (#5)
2005: 13–0 (#1, NC)
2006: 10–3 (#13)
2007: 10–3 (#10)
2008: 12–1 (#4)
2009: 13–1 ((#3, NC Appearance)
2010: 5–7
2011: 8–5
2012: 9–4 (#19)
2013: 8–5
That's not bad at all, even during the four "declining" years he put up decent results three times. That shouldn't be enough to get someone fired after four years, especially when they're five years removed from an NC appearance, and account for 1/4 of your school's all-time NC count, and saved you from a 35 year drought. Then look at Nebraska under Bo Pelini:
2008: 9–4
2009: 10–4 (#25)
2010: 10–4 (#20)
2011: 9–4 (#24)
2012: 10–4 (#25)
2013: 9–4
2014: 9–4 (#25, fired before the Bowl)
These results are already a step down from his predecessor, Frank Solich, who got fired for no reason.
1998: 9–4 (#19)
1999: 12–1 (#2)
2000: 10–2 (#8)
2001: 11–2 (#8)
2002: 7–7
2003: 10–3 (#19, fired before the Bowl)
Now they have Oregon State's coach and he has them sitting at 2–3 on the year. This, kids, is what happens when you allow yourself to become entitled. You look at your team being ranked at the end of every year, double digit winning seasons, and being in contention for a title run every year, and you say to yourself "… Nope, not good enough. We deserve better. I deserve better, simply because!" and then you fire a winning coach and everything rightfully falls to shite. Is Texas any happier now than they're 6–7 and 1–4 after firing Mack Brown?
So this entire topic makes no sense, especially for what Spurrier has done for South Carolina.

Texas U accomplished virtually nothing in the decades prior to Mack Brown. If you take out the 1983 season in which they almost won a MNC then they haven't accomplished much.

Not all can pass the torch like John L and BB.
