You're clearly not familiar with history. Let me refresh your memory:
Fred Akers coached Texas from 1977-1986. During his tenure, Texas could have won the national title in the 1977 and 1983 seasons, but lost to Notre Dame and Georgia in the Cotton Bowls at the end of those seasons. They won the SWC twice and had a bowl record of 2-4 during that time.
Following the 1983 season, Akers went 20-14-1 between 1984-1986, including losing to A&M by an average of 23 points in those three years and having Texas' first losing season in 30 years in 1986.
After Akers, Texas hired David McWilliams, who went 31-26 from 1987-1991, winning the SWC in 1990, but only having 2 winning seasons, including going 1-4 against A&M.
After McWilliams, Texas hired John Mackovic, who went 41-28-2 and won 2 conference titles (1995, 1996 - 1994 doesn't count because A&M was ineligble...a 5-way tie for 1st doesn't cut it). He went 2-5 against A&M and his last season was well known for "route 66", in which #10 Texas lost to UCLA at home 66-3.
Let me put it to you this way. Mack Brown = Fred Akers.
After Texas fired Akers, they went through 3 coaches over 12 years before they got the right one.

A&M's clock has to start running this year. Otherwise the SWC titles count.
The thing about this year is that 3rd in the conference in #5 in Nation. Under that theory Bama gets no credit for winning the 2011 Natty, because did not even make championship. To get through the SEC and finish #5 nationally should count at least as a big 6 year. It cant only be about SEC Championships.
So If Bamas 2011 Natty = only 2rd in SECwest, 3rd in Conference then their Natty carries no weight nere. That cant be.
Likewise - A&M = #5 in Nation which equals #5 in SEC.
It cant be both ways. Bama is 1 in Nation or 3rd in SEC for 2011.
LIkewise A&M is #5 in Nation rather than 5th in the SEC
This puts A&M only behind Bama and Georgia. for year 1.
So how do you work that?

SEC records and standings happened on the field.
The BCS championship was decided on the field.
Final rankings are just pure opinion (s). The AP and Coaches polls aren't/weren't/won't ever be systems that everyone agrees to.
It shouldn't be hard to comprehend.
Edit: And UG wasn't ahead of Alabama in 2011.

He just can't be reasoned with. Already explained to him that Big6-hood is about historical dominance in the SEC and he keeps bringing up SWC titles and a single good season they've had recently. He's clearly just trolling at this point.

NC titles count but SEC titles hold most weight as the BG6 was based upon the most dominant Programs in the SEC when determining divisions during the 92 expansion
1-2 good years in addition to titles from a conference that no longer exist does not compute under this criteria
