We just have to see more than one year, or one great player. USC has been really good last few years, but aren't in the discussion. You have to show staying power first. Don't have to be great every year. But at least near the top most years.
UT is trying though to move y'all into the Big 6

Doesn't matter really. SCar goes to ATL and wins they're conference champion. Same with Hogs, A&M, anyone else. Whoever it might be can grab their crotch and shout "Big 6 this!"

To the rest - A&M is going to start raping you on the field, regularly, and you are going to like it - or you will be unhappy. Cuz its going to happen.

Most will laugh at this statement, but outside of Alabama, LSU, and Florida (or UGA if they hired anyone else), I expect A&M to start pillaging the rest of the SEC.

To me Big6-hood is about being a historically strong program. One team outside of the Big 6 winning a conference title one year isn't sufficient to gain admittance.

Once A&M passes one of the Big 6 in all time win percentage they can join. Right now they're sitting at .600 and need to catch Auburn whose all-time percentage is .628.

No, the SEC East title holds more value than 5 Big XII titles.

tGusBus will not allow this to happen

Also, I think people are failing to consider the impact Texas regaining dominant status will have on aTm's little engine that could. Auburn was able to win an NC with their GOAT player and their rival being dominant but I don't see aTm having the same success even with JFF and a weakened Longhorn.

Seems like the Aggies have a narrow window to cement their place in CFB and I'm interested to see the outcome

All time winning percentage is not the criteria. A team could win 3 nattys in a row and not be in top six.

Well if A&M manages to win 3 natty's in a row, I will welcome you as members of the Big 6 with open arms. Until then, try passing Auburn in all-time win %.

Well the past tense 'were trying' is probably far more accurate than the present tense 'is trying.'

While we still have work ahead considering our attempt to commit seppuku for the last 5 seasons, those days seem to be behind us. We finally snapped out of our midlife crisis enough to start working towards returning to our former state instead of working towards self-destruction.

Also, our down period is a bit overstated given the much longer periods of time other schools in the SEC Royalty Club have been spent in downturns with even worse seasons than our present bad streak has produced. It's just that our downfall is recent and came on so unexpectedly and has been so dramatic compared to our past that it appears far worse than other downturns.

At any rate, I think it takes a good long time before voting anyone with a history like UT or Bama has out of the club.

Personally, I just don't like the idea. I'd rather add powerhouses/royalty programs based on their own long histories of success than thinking we must remove one to add one. I can't imagine having voted out the others when they were down -- imagine how foolish we'd all look now if we'd voted out Bama.

Everyone is excluding the SWC in A&M's last 20 years of Big 6 pledgeship...

As far as titles, the A&M team that won the title in 1998 did so by beating the #2 (Nebraska), #19 (Texas Tech), #13 (Missouri), and #1 (Kansas State) teams in the same season; losing only to eventual BCS runner up Florida State

Nothing and the fact they are arguing that those mean anything says to me that maybe they aren't ready for the SEC after all.

I think the original subject had to do with A&M winning multiple conference titles more recently than Arkansas' last one

Arkansas was the first team not named Alabama or Florida to make it to the SEC Championship game in 1995.

A&M has 3 years to duplicate or better that.

Good luck.

Correct. Big 7 application leap frogged Arky's.

I agree with both of those things. Who has the lowest number of football conference titles among the six schools? Who has the lowest number since the South Carolina/Arkansas expansion?
