*Per request by my brother KSGamecock*

So, I want to preface this by saying I only did what I considered "major conferences" for this data-set. If a school was in any "major conference" during the date the game was played, it was counted. These conferences include: ACC, Big East, Big 8, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-8/10/12, SWC, and SEC.

For more details (how I handled Independents), see the note at the bottom. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer. This was a fun project, which actually took a little bit of digging.

Current SEC school's records vs "Major Conference" opponents
*Sorted by winning percentage

Georgia : 112-44-4 0.713%
Alabama : 85-35-1 0.707%
Tennessee : 85-44-5 0.653%
Auburn : 72-40-2 0.640%
LSU : 79-45-3 0.634%
Florida: 74-62-4 0.543%
Mississippi St: 28-24 0.538%
Arkansas : 36-37-2 0.493%
Missouri : 58-61-3 0.488%
Kentucky : 46-51-3 0.475%
South Carolina: 104-122-5 0.461%
Texas A&M: 50-59 0.459%
Ole Miss: 23-30-1 0.435%
Vanderbilt: 32-45-1 0.417%

**NOTES**

-Conference games are NOT counted at ANY point.
-All games from the following conferences were counted: ACC, Big East, Big 8, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-8/10/12, SWC, and SEC.
-Games against major Independent schools such as Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, Penn St, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Etc. are counted at the time of their Independent “affiliation.”
-Again, I counted ALL SWC (1970-1995), Big 8 (1970-1995), and Big East (1991-2012) games.
-I did not count Louisville from 1996-2004 due to their Conference USA affiliation or from 1970-1974 due to their Missouri Valley Conference affiliation. All other games are counted.
-For Arkansas, South Carolina, A&M and Missouri, all of your games are counted against SEC opponents up until you joined the conference.
-Again, NO conference games are counted at ANY point (Ex: A&M vs Arkansas while both were in the SWC)
-Also, I did NOT count bowl games where SEC schools were matched up against one another. (Ex: 1972 Bluebonnet Bowl, Tennessee vs LSU)

MAJOR EDIT**
The Big 8 conference teams were counted twice in the DB. Win% is a bit off. Will fix in a bit. Apologies.

2nd EDIT**
Fixed win% and reordered teams properly.

No way this is an alter.

Although I don't technically hate it I suppose.

Having trouble coming up with the 45 losses shown for LSU. Is Nebraska maybe counting double because they were in Big 8 and Big 10 somehow? Maybe it is just a good bit of 1s and 2s adding up though.

With 31 of those losses coming against Clemson in that 47 year span of time.

lol ... this guy is consistent if nothing else.

Anyone every tell the story about us mudholing Clemson in '75 in the Cockpit ... and how they committed to that never happening again after that? Yep, got their big boosters together and started paying for players the next day. A few years later and they won a national championship and then were hit with, at the time, the most serious penalties in NCAA history LINK ... but they dominated the shite outta us with their paid for players and that's really all they ever care about bottom line.

Taterheads will readily admit, the cheating that got them that first title ... it was the best money every spent because they got to keep the trophy and it's been their cornerstone every since.

Such a stupid comment. How good LSU is or isn't has nothing to do with it. He's saying he doesn't count 45 losses.

FSU and A&M account for 16 of those losses, add 5 losses to Notre Dame and you're quickly up over 20 losses.

Y'all have the same amount of major infractions in football as Clemson. The only difference is y'all suck at cheating.

I found most of it. Still one shy though I come up with 44. I am listing them in current affiliations, but only for games that qualify per SB's parameters.

ACC: Syra 1, Mia 1, VT 1, Fla St 7 (10)
Big 12: Bay 1, Tex 1 (2)
Big 10: Wisc 1, Ind 1, Osu 1, Iowa 1, Neb 5, Penn St 2 (11)
Pac 12: Colo 1, USC 1, Stan 1 (3)
Ind: ND 7 (7)
SEC: Mizz 1, SC 1, AtM 9 (11)

What loss am I missing?

PS: Dadgum 90's...

So which independents did you count during the 70s and 80s? For example, there were 29 in 1970, including a bunch of small schools.
