9-3 in the SEC this year is going to be as impressive as 11-1 in the B12.
But a 10-2 B1G team will be put in a slot above a 9-3 SEC school.
Sankey screwed the "middle of the pack" SEC programs by going to a 9 game schedule..
Sankey is an ESPN bootlicker.

The big ten already has 9 conference games. They’ve had that schedule for years

I wish the Big 10 would have to face that shite every year so they would STFU.
They will never understand the gauntlet. They just sit back and mockingly cheer every time one of us takes down another. At least Oregon is there now so break up their automatic wins.

There are too many losses to be handed out and it’s going to knock everyone back until the CFP stops looking at things like losses without factoring in schedule.
They already agreed to include strength of schedule. That's the reason Sankey finally gave in to a 9 game conference slate. Apparently, when the playoff expands, there will be 4 guaranteed from both the SEC and Big 10.

My coworker lived in Columbia and said it’s the hottest place on earth
He’s also lived in Louisiana and said nothing can ever top Columbia
I’m curious what makes it so hot?

Geography. You're close enough to the coast that you're always going to have 70% relative humidity. But you're far enough away that you don't get the coastal breeze.
The mountains to the west also impact the wind that can come from the west. As a result, Cola is still. And it has sandy soil that also absorbs moisture, plus you're nestled between three rivers. Trees are abundant, but palmettos dont get super tall, and provide little shade. It just stays hot and humid from April until early November.
I loved living in Columbia. Fantastic town. Sleepy in the summer, and it has great energy when students report in the fall. Loads to do, and no more than 2 hours away from anything you wanna see. Mountains? Two hours west. Beaches? Two hours east. City life? Two hours north. Middle of nowhere, rural paradise? 45 minutes in any direction.
Haven't lived there since 2008. But I'd absolutely move back, family in tow.

95% of our state is better than every part of your state so let’s simmer down here

There should be ZERO quotas or guaranteed slots in the playoffs. Screw that. That’s how an Arizona State stole a spot from a more deserving SEC school last year.

I agree about the quotas. But ASU definitely deserved to be in the playoff. They took Texas to double OT.

ASU, Boise, and Clemson all backed into the CFP via automatic bids, supplanting better teams deserving an at-large bid. Two of them got first round byes. None of them won a single game. Two got blown out.

I lived in Columbia and didn’t think it was that hot. I also lived in Houston, and the humidity in the summer in Houston is way worse. I thought Houston felt significantly hotter.

Clemson and SMU don’t deserve to be there. Neither did Alabama. Maybe Ole Miss, but they lost to a shite Kentucky, who only had one SEC win all year

I’ve been to Norman. Had a decent meal at Benvenuti’s but Norman is not a better town than Columbia.
And what does alive PD and Obama Mart have to do with Oxford, MS.

Arizona State absolutely deserved to be there. Boise State, SMU, and Clemson shouldn’t have been there though. Should have been replaced by Miami, South Carolina and either Ole Miss or Alabama. Truth be told, Indiana shouldn’t have been there either. They played 2 teams with winning records in the regular season and went 1-1 against them and the win was a home game against a one-dimensional Michigan team.

Truth. The cowshit stench in mobilehoma is terrible. Even when it is cold and the wind is blowing hard.
