Great series road win for the Yardcocks! I have to eat a heapin' heppin' of crow, and I'll gladly do it with a smile on my face. I really felt we'd get swept in BR this weekend, the way the mood seemed to be for the ballclub. But we really played with some focus and field discipline, and got some breaks to fall our way. Now we're back in the discussion for a national seed, and if we can defend our home field and win versus Vandy, we'll have a great chance!

Maybe we just have an interest in teams that we went 4-2 against this year? For RPI purposes.

Yes, I'm super jealous of LSU. Just lost a series to a team at home that we beat on the road.

Tough series. You guys slowed our hitters down as well as anyone all year. Good luck and I wouldn't be surprised if y'all make it to Omaha. Hope to see y'all there.

Other than the fact that starting McCune on Sunday was kind of weird, I really can't fault the way LSU played at all this weekend. I think the team actually played well, and yet for whatever reason, nothing seemed to go right.
I feel victimized by having read CNB play down the Gamecocks' potential this year. They are obviously getting better.

I agree on we're getting better, the bats have started to come around ever since the Florida series. If we can keep this set rotation & all 3 starters have 6-7 inning performances per start I feel pretty good about opponents not having to deal with our bullpen minus Westy & Webb as much. I would love if one of our righties Beal or Holmes would step up & be that electric 3rd arm out of the pen. Then this team could for sure go deep into the post season.
