I've got a feeling this will hurt worse for Varez Ward than it will for Auburn.
This is not like the UNLV point shaving scandal of the 90's where when it came out, everyone knew the school was involved and it was reported as "UNLV involved in point shaving scandal."
This so far has been "Auburn PG Varez Ward under investigation for Point Shaving" with mention of FBI/NCAA asking other players if Ward tried to get them involved. That's not to say it couldn't get worse, but it's a lot better right now than it could have been.
