They won't have them anymore. They'll die off one by one.

Miami proved last year that sometimes a 10-2 team is better than an 11-1 or 12-0. Miami beat 11-1 A&M, 11-1 Ole Miss and 12-0 Ohio St. Not counting CC games.
Not that Miami in the ACC has a great SOS but strength of scheduling disparity in college football is a huge factor. A 9-3 SEC team might be capable of winning the Big12. Is it fair for that 9-3 team to sit at home every year while an 11-1 Big12 champion gets to play for an NC?
Until a way to address disparity is figured out, just let them play. NIL and the portal ruined college football, not the expanded playoffs.

I like it. Bowl games mean nothing anymore.
More meaning ful college football games.
Regular season will still mean alot for most teams trying to sneak in.
Teams like Arkansas will have a chance not if they can get their sheet together up there. Petrino would have had 3 teams in. Nutt around 5.

The committee is supposed to be competent enough to determine this with 12.

Guess this means we don’t watch the regular season then and wait for the playoffs.

People keep saying this will dilute the regular season, but it will REALLY dilute the post season. Is anyone looking forward to a Troy vs UNLV 1st round matchup to decide who gets killed by Notre Dame the next week?
1st round will be mid teams playing each other then the 2nd round will be them getting beat by the real teams then the 3rd round will be when the actual playoffs start.

Not that bad if you think about it. Instead of 10 teams having to play in their conference championship game, every team can play one playoff game, and we are back to 12 teams just like that. I hate CCGs with a passion that burns red hot. They mean nothing. A first-round playoff game means everything, and getting multiple home games is cool.

Miami proved last year that it's a tournament and the biggest thing that matters is being hot at the right time and getting a favorable tournament path.
If they had played Indiana sooner, they wouldn't have made it near as far.

By the end of the year, nobody will care about these teams bc it will be obvious they have no shot at winning the whole thing.
Do you really care about some late November 8-3 Arizona vs Oregon St game just to see if Arizona can back into the playoffs?

5 Ohio State
9 Ole Miss vs 21 SMU

11 LSU vs 22 Boise

10 BYU vs 23 UCLA
8 Florida
12 Texas Tech vs 24 Nebraska
8 SEC
7 B1G
5 B12
2 ACC
1 G5
1 Independent
Some of the 1st round matchups are boring, but I like most of the 2nd round games.
It's easy to look at it optimistically now because it's Week 4. By the time the end of season rolls around 8-4 Nebraska or USC ain't going to look like that hot of a draw. Also by that time, you'll have turds in the punch bowl like 10-2 Texas State or Florida Atlantic who will get crushed in the 1st round like Tulane & JMU.

The SEC beats up themselves and by the time they male it to the end of the season, key players are injured which benefits other teams.
