Going to enjoy watching this rivalry on Thanksgiving weekend again. Will root for A&M because only heathens root for Texas. Hated having to argue with UT against A&M this past decade because the Aggies wouldn't STFU about how awesome they were because SEC.
I will say A&M must be quite annoyed that their major recruiting advantage over Texas and OU is now nullified.

Not really. More annoyed about how we were blindsided with it. I grew up watching Texas/A&M games every Thanksgiving.
I don't think we will resume that, though. I think Texas/Ark and A&M/LSU is more likely at this point.

Well, 2 out of 4 years isn't bad. I don't see how the conference doesn't eventually move to 9 conference games a year though--not only do so many schools have more than one rival they want to play yearly, but the conference tiebreakers would be even more of a mess without the extra game to knock some teams out.

I'm interested to see how scheduling is handled long-term. I think Texas/A&M should play each other on rivalry weekend. It is pretty much the game that mattered the most in the state growing up.
