Real fans of a team can enjoy their own misery vicariously though other people's eyes. I think it shows a higher iq self awareness and perspective we should all hope to have.

Being a true fan of a sports team is nothing if not masochism. But those short moments of glory sure are sweet.

BK has always been fools gold imo. But high octane openers are such a gamble and can really set the pace poorly for a season. You're only really a team by game 3, they say.
