4-0 start. 2 quality road wins. Ranked #7 nationally. What’s not to love???

More or less the same reason LSU fans wanted Miles gone.

The fact that since 2012 they will be 3-5 against State after this week. Disappointing really.

Every season before this after 2013 minus Amen corner in 2017
This was a big season for him and so far he is doing well

Can’t beat LSU/Bama/UGA regular enough. That’s the toughest three they play every year.
He’s got a good looking team so far, schedule gets brutal later on.

So you’re sayin Auburn’s overrated?

He’s grinding. And we all appreciate it.

More like who. It's the people that don't want to wake up to the realities of modern college football, and seem to actually think we can hit a homerun with somebody else.

Who’s beat Saban more than Gus?

His teams are too bipolar. At this point he should be winning at a steady pace and not losing to irrelevant teams.

Does not matter. When playing in state rivals you have to win at least 50% for job security and 75% may be favored.

Being an Auburn fan, fans aren’t mad at Gus for Saban.

His passing game is elementary and not good enough to consistently compete with our tough annual schedule.

I always figured it had to be tough sharing a state with Saban

Most Auburn people I know (including myself) only wanted Gus gone when he showed an inordinate amount of stubbornness and refusal to change. He's suddenly gotten better about that, and unless he loses a head-scratcher to Ole Miss or Miss State I think he's off the hot seat barring total blowouts by UGA and Alabama.
Gus has also figured out that a strong defense makes it so that it is very difficult for any other team to embarrass you.
I think Gus' problems have always stemmed from the fact that the man doesn't have a broad world-view. He eats, drinks, and breathes football. I think that led to a dangerous form of myopia that hurt him badly until recently.
If I'm being honest, the main reason the media and fans wanted Gus gone is because he's a football nerd who lacks charisma and charm. He's a goofy and boring guy who has tunnel vision. You can get away with that when you win at the level of Bill Belichick or Nick Saban. And Gus did get away with it for his first couple of years. But, once you stack a couple of 8-5 seasons up that kind of personality becomes a major liability.
