5 losses in 2014 losing 4 of the last 5
6 losses in 2015 - 2-6 in SEC PLAY, 0-4 in home SEC games
5 losses in 2016 losing 3 of the last 4
4 losses in 2017 - blew 20-0 lead at LSU and a bowl game loss to a non P5 program
5 losses in 2018 - blew another lead vs. LSU and lost to 2 biggest rivals by a combined 48 points

Auburn fans aren’t stupid.

You’re correct about one thing. Losing to Miss State will get you fired.

Simple answer is that it's because we are Auburn and that's what we do.

Sure he has. You only had to watch the A&M game to see the considerable changes Gus has made in play-calling this year versus last year.

HB tosses instead of calling an inside run 21 times in a row on first down is one example. Even allowing other RBs to get carries is a change. Last year he would've promised that all year and never delivered.

I'm not saying the guy has pulled a 180. Only that he has changed. He still calls some really stupid plays and out-thinks himself at times, but if you can't see the difference this year compared to last year or 2017 I don't know what to tell you.

I can tell you, the passing game is stuck in neutral and has been since 2015. He simply won't change and the passing game will be mediocre on good days. That's not good enough to be successful with the schedule we play.

That’s an understatement and I find hard believe that any coach would have an easy time trying to even keep pace with Bama, UGA, LSU and Clemson in close vicinity at a 10 win/season clip.

Auburn is in an extremely unique place in the CFB world. I don’t know of another “#2” school that is held to a standard even close to Auburn’s. That has been magnified in the program arms race the SEC has been in over the past decade.

All in all, I think he’s done a good job even with his inconsistencies. Still no losing seasons, recruiting on track, and the program is financially healthy and compliant. Would I like more rivalry wins? Sure. But I’d rather Gus figure that out than a wholesale change of the entire program.
