We own Tennessee, so if we want to claim songs that reference the state, we can, and no one is going to stop us. We could do the same for songs referencing Louisiana, Mississippi, or Georgia.

While Deacon Blues mention's Alabama, it's a pretty big stretch to say it is about Alabama. There is some Ke$ha song that mentions getting hosed down in a trailer park. That seems more fitting
