Tennessee softball - won SEC, failed to advance to the World Series
Tennessee baseball - won SEC, ???
Don’t be surprised to see Tennessee baseball choke. It’s what their athletic department does.

It really might. There’s not a more talented team in college baseball.
They still have to play the games though, and baseball is a very unforgiving sport.

Everybody chokes, not just UT, if they don't win a natty according to your logic.
As great as mighty Kentucky is in basketball for example, the Cats haven't won a natty in 12 years.
Don't just lump Tennessee in a category by itself.

Tennessee hasn’t won a title in a big three sport since 1998. And they have zero Final Fours. That’s a lot of choking.

I'm 31 years old and Tennessee athletics overall is in as good of a position as it maybe ever has been during my time on Earth. Maybe a case could be made in the late 90s it was stronger than it is now just because it was during a time when we won a football natty, baseball under Delmonico was peaking, and Pat Summit's legendary career was in its prime (otherwise a lot of our other programs then were meh). Almost all of our sports programs are doing just fine right now. Really like where the entire athletic department is at collectively atm. Danny White has been an excellent AD thus far in his 4/5 years at the helm.
Ironically arguably our school's most storied program overall if you count the amount of national championships they have won in the past is actually doing worse than anyone else on campus right now. And even they went to the R32 in the NCAA last year.
Tennessee is gonna be just fine whether we win our first baseball natty this year or not.
