Solution to what?
12 teams is too many and you want to expand it to 13?
Nah fam.

Your play-in game was two weeks ago in Norman.

There is no debate. Except from the gumps.

There is no debate your 3 loss team didnt deserve to be there.

No more games! Fewer, in fact, are needed. It's going to get to the point where we're arguing over 6-6 Vandy over 8-4 Texas Tech if this keeps going.

Here is my solution to the debate, that will happen every year over the last team in the college football playoffs....have a play in game for it like the ncaa basketball tournament does for the last team in when it's between two teams for the spot.
Playoffs begin in two weeks, could have had Bama and SMU play next week for the final spot. Yes, the final team in would have to play an extra game but that is the price to pay for being the final team in.
Just my opinion.
Just go back to 4 teams.
It's not an issue that Alabama didn't make the playoffs. Alabama isn't a NC quality team. Even if Alabama is in, it doesn't change the fact it's a terrible format with a bunch of teams who shouldn't be there.
The issue is they put in a bunch of other teams even worse and rewarded teams for shitty SoS without even winning the few good games they played.

How about the NCAA make it a rule that Bama gets in EVERY year regardless of your season?
Imagine thinking you are dunking on a team for being pissed to watch Boise st and Az St after a bye week. Or Indiana getting homefield advantage ...or Clemson losing every game they played to an SEC team or watching SMu yet again lose to a ranked team. This will be a continuing problem for the SEC overall but go ahead and gloat that's Bama (USC OM) in this but maybe ...just maybe someday LSU will be close enough to 11 to worry about it

Shut up Bama pussy
No one takes Bama seriously anymore and you can’t stand it
Why would you want to prolong the inevitable and watch your team embarrass themselves in the playoffs like they did last year?

This is really what needs to happen (and I believe this regardless of whether we're talking about Alabama, Auburn or Al Queda at #11) This is a stupid system and it almost produced three teams (including two of the auto-byes) below the top 12 in the playoff

Football isn't basketball and they need to stop trying to make it that

Alabama didn’t get in so obviously there is something wrong.

No one past 6 deserved to be in.

Just seed all 120 teams and play until May.

I also think 6 is an okay way to do it, but we have to also reverse all of the conference moves that just happened. Change will happen, whatever, but the changes that have happened in the last 2 years are completely at odds with each other.
6 team playoff with all conference champions with 2012 conference lineups: ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Pac 12, Big 12 and G5 champions? I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.
But you also can't go and give the 2012 C-USA (Big 12) an auto-bid AND a G5 autobid in a 12 team system with 2024 conference lineups
