I think if Arkansas splits the last 2 they are in, too. Win both and they likely avoid Dayton, too.
Oklahoma likely has to sweep (Mizzou, @ Texas) and even then they'd likely be Dayton I think (can't imagine they'd let a 6-12 conference team avoid that).

How are we even considered for the Tournament? We have had some close loses, but losing is still losing. The Porter Moser era needs to end.

Because you have 6 Q1 wins and only 1 bad loss. And if you look at your record and ignore "conference" only stuff (which is what the committee does) you are a 17-12 team with 6 Q1 wins, 9 Q1/2 wins and only 1 Q3/4 loss.
However, you had the same issue Georgia had pre-Florida, which was at some point you can't keep losing games (even to good teams).

Alabama was basically this Oklahoma team (with a few more wins because the league was worse) for a decade straight every single year. We feel your pain.

In my opinion, the next week will decide the next 3-4 years of UGA basketball.
We actually spent a fair bit of money on NIL this year to get a solid roster with the expectation of making the tournament.
When it was looking like we were out, it was reported that the boosters were not happy and to expect a much smaller budget next year
We are still a very young team, our current starting 5 is three sophomores, a freshman, and a junior. Obviously Newell is gone but the rest could come back. Additionally, we have another solid class coming in.
The way I see it, if we win one more game and make the tournament, our NIL will stay the same or increase, and we will remain somewhat competitive
Choke and we lose both, we will miss the tournament, the NIL faucet is turned off, our roster falls apart, and White is fired after next year, and we’re back at Square 1

Makes sense. Crazy how quickly things can shift, too. But that's why being in a really difficult league is, in the end, a blessing. As long as you play well in the non-conference you have a chance until the last few weeks as long as you don't lose multiple games to the 1-2 bad teams.

Kentucky is projected to be worse a 4 seed if we beat LSU. Only way I see UK being a 5 is if we lose to LSU.

All year I've been thinking about going to the Conference USA tournament in Huntsville just because last year looked to be a good time. But, it just so happens this may be one of the better SEC tournaments we've seen and I don't really want to miss much of it.

I suspect we will go 1-1 this week. (W Texas, L Arkansas) .
I'm assuming Texas won't get back in. Is that enough for Arkansas to get in with a win over us? I can't see us winning in Fayetteville last game with Calipari desperate so not like I care.

Unless something changes dramatically, it definitely seems like there will be a lot of spicy weekend games for 1/2 seeds. Granted, perhaps just on paper only, but fun nonetheless.

Yep, likely to be a few upsets early

Kansas is definitely not somebody I'd want to see in that game solely because they are still very talented.
Not sure what's going on in Lawrence but Self looks like he'd rather be any place else except the sidelines for their games. Would love to see them in the tournament.
Creighton is the team that could give a 1 seed fits.
