Umm, UCLA DID do this... and we weren't saying anything like that.
It may not have been you, but others were saying stuff, including the NCAA.
#-UCLA’s 1995 national championship was later vacated by the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions
UCLA is the only team to have a title taken away due to infractions, in this sport.
That was just the one they could pin on UCLA.
Also, the dominance by UCLA was in a completely different sport. This didn't start until 1982 and their run was basically from that time till 1990, then they were still strong but a bit more parity was created after 1990 (maybe that explains the brazen cheating by them in the 90s).
In the early days softball wasn't that popular. While UCLA was stacking trophies, a huge number of high schools in the nation didn't have softball, either slow or fast pitch. Same goes for colleges. The SEC didn't start softball until 1997. Big12 started in 96, I think.
I can't find exact numbers, but from what I can tell the current post season tournament has more teams than than existed in the entire nation back in 1985. It's just a completely different landscape.
I don't think anyone east of Texas A&M won a title until 2005. Over half the nation didn't participate in softball at any level, for about 15 years - so of course you were going to have a run of dominance by UCLA or Arizona or someone in that part of the country where it was actually being played at a high level.
But now softball is very popular across the entire nation and we have an OU team that is more dominant than anything UA or UCLA ever produced. That raises red flags. We ought to have more parity than ever, but we don't.

so how many of those UCONN basketball championships were vacated?

Y'all are never going to make it in the SEC. So sensitive.
Does OU have any sports with success that don't have a track record of NCAA infractions? I'm just curious. Seems the entire history of OU athletics is peppered with rules violations.
"The following list gives a few details about the top 10 schools on the list of cheaters since 1952.
5. Oklahoma"

I don't know. I do know they self-reported players getting money not long ago. And it's really interesting how Bama football is fading now with NIL and so is UCONN women's basketball. Hmmmm...
This isn't the winning argument you think it is.

Betty Crocker-bitchboy just can't hide his anti-OU obsession no matter how hard he tries to project it onto others.

New record set. 48 straight!

Looks like OU and UT could be facing each other soon.

And there is more parity than ever, except for Oklahoma. It used to be straight chalk every year. Like all 16 seeds win their regional. But last year 3 unseeded teams made OKC and we had 3 unseeded teams win this year with the #2 seed going down and with two others barely getting out.

I told you Clemson would give OU run for their money . Tenn FSU OSU realistic chances to compete with OU.

I think Vols just wrapped this game up. Feel bad for that Texas right fielder. Texas has 4 errors in the game. Just isn't their day.
With this one, we have Vols, OU, FSU, Ok St in CWS, with 4 more games today.

OU should have lost today. They was down to its last strike on a 0-2 count and the pitcher wants to throw near the plate. Bad decision on an 0-2 pitch.

frick Texas. It’s up to the other team to stop you. Not the other way around because you feel bad for them. Work on things you don’t normally get to work on in game situations.
