Doesn't matter, whoever it is will get destroyed by Bama.

Florida.
Tennessee's the best team but they'll screw it up again somehow.

Tennessee has the best roster without question. I think any impartial observer would tell you that.

If Tennessee doesn't win the east it will not be because we're "a year away" talent wise. It will be due to a frick up by someone or a rash of injuries.

Tennessee has the most talent and most experienced team in the east. They will be in Atlanta.

Tennessee is the favorite. Experience at QB and both sides of the ball. UGA will put up a fight but I don't see us being good enough offensively to win the East. We do get UT at home so who knows. Florida will be a contender as well but I think they take a step back this season.

Typically first year coaches, especially first year head coaches, require a bit of an adjustment period. Granted there are exceptions. That along with lack of a proven quarterback will have Georgia at no better than 2nd.

Florida, Tennessee will have to get over the bogeyman this year. Their offense has to be better and will be (as it's impossible for it to get any worse). Defense will take a step back. Secondary will still be strong, but not quite as good. Linebackers will take a step back. Dline I imagine will also be a little bit weaker than last season. Could win division I Tennessee trips over it's feet yet again.

But the favorite and rightly so is Tennessee. Loaded roster as the 2014 class are Juniors and 2015 class has a year of experience under their belts. Nasty Dline although could be a little thin at DT. Two all SEC caliber linebackers. Secondary is the biggest question mark but Cam Sutton is back, Justin Martin is as good as advertised, Gaulden will be back at nickel, TKjr is great and will start at safety. Other safety spot could be filled by Nigel Warrior, but we have Evan Berry at that position if he doesn't switch to WR.
Plus, Dobbs is a great running QB and we have a very strong run game. Passing game should improve this year.

I don't look at this as an excuse. Typically first year Head Coaches are taking over a team with severe problems. Usually the HC was fired for a reason. UGA, on the other hand just won 10 games and has recruited well almost every year, so talent is on the roster.

The freshman QB will have more to do with it than anything. That and Chubb coming back from a bad injury.

The entire division is a hot sack of garbage.

Saying Tennessee is probably the best team in the east is accurate, and leads me to my first statement

Tennessee should win it, but they still have Lyle and a propensity to choke so....

The broke backs would be middle of the road in the east as well.

I realize this is a troll but I think the east will be entertaining next year. I think UF, UGA, & UT all have a legit shot.

Have to think UT. They play UF, UGA, TAM, and Bama all in a row. We'll know if they are legit or not after those games. Considering those games last year, Tennessee didn't lose that much. Tennessee then finishes with the weaker SEC East teams and Vandy. I could see 10-2 for the Vols

But it is one. We Will have young guys starting all over the place in a new offense and defense.

Tenny is the favorite on paper and off-season BS Natty. But they have Butch too. Still need to find out if he can coach.

UF and UGA each need a good QB.

Mizzou needs an OL. The D will be salty.

Then comes UK, USCe and Vandy.

It's UT's to lose. If they do, Butch will be exposed (again). Mizzou's D should be up there with UGA's, but their O-line could be epically (is that a word?) bad.

We will finally find out if Butch can actually coach, there is no more excuses. With everything that's going on in Knoxville his seat may get toasty if the Vols are not in Atl. come Dec., it seems like he is losing control.
