The best way they can go. They'll never out recruit more than half the SEC so they wont win doing what everyone else is doing. They have to be outside the box from everyone else.

Gus Malzahn is available, I'm sure they will waive the buyout
Then who will Auburn hire to replace him? Oh I know! Chad Morris!

Let them go for first woman head coach of power 5 conference team in history.
They enjoy playing politics and making headlines vs playing football.

Based on the coverage they received this weekend, clearly they should hire a woman.

It would be difficult to get him to leave Hawaii but they should condsider Todd Graham.
I became aware of him when he became the HC at Rice, a similar school to Vanderbilt. In one year he turned that program around and went to their first bowl game in over 20 years...back when there were not a large number of bowl games.
Vandy is similar to Rice. He has strong connections to Texas high school talent (coached at Allen High School for nearly five years).
He has a couple of negatives.....he moves to another job rather quickly and the NCAA keeps a close eye on him.

I doubt they'd hire him but Butch would be great at Vandy and a genuine pain in the arse for everyone in the East. He was much better his first 2 years when he had embraced an underdog role. His meltdown started when it was time to leave being the underdog behind.

Obvious answer is Dooley. He would be the most Vandy of options.

Leach would have been the perfect fit at Vandy. You need a spread coach that doesn't have to recruit worth a crap

“He doesn’t recruit”
State currently has one of its highest ranked classes in the last decade with still a few spots left to fill.
“He hates Defense”
States Defense is legit with a DC who’s already a hot name
You guys really need to stop regurgitating BS

Not regurgitating anything. Leach has never recruited worth a crap, and he can have a defensive coordinator. All the athletes will still go to the offense, though.
Always have. Always will. A&M fans know a "little" more about Leach than other SEC teams do.
