. It will be the highest-quality win thus far.

It actually likely won't be.

Once the new rankings come out OU will drop. They're currently #15. Assuming all the other teams being mentioned win, they'd drop below #16 LSU (who lost to SoCal), #17 ND (who lost to NIU) and #18 Michigan (who lost to Texas). They MIGHT drop below Clemson at #21 as well (who lost to UGA)

Wow, UGA is an hour closer to the stadium by car than Clemson. Such a huge difference.

I'm sure those Clemson fans were scared away from that 2-2.5 hour long drive.

I'm a firm believer in always using the last ranking.

Yeah, well guess what? Official statisticians and those comprising the polls, not to mention the CFP committee all go by the ranking when the game was played.

But, go ahead and believe in using what you want -- won't do you any good except to satiate your conscience and help in making you feel better about your team.

Anyone who isn't liquidating their 401K to bet on Tenn to cover -7 is an idiot.

Anyone who has watched Tennessee play football for 20 or more years, knows better. Never bet for them as a favorite...never bet against them as an underdog. They will find a way to lose your money.

What if number 15 Oklahoma beats number 5 Tennessee by a field goal? How high does Oklahoma climb?

I’ll settle for any sort of win. AP poll is meaningless I just want to see Tennessee win

In fairness I haven’t actually seen OU play yet this year

I have. I have the same feeling about Tennessee going into Oklahoma as I did about Texas going into Michigan. It will take a tsunami of injuries & turnovers for Oklahoma to win this game. It isn't impossible, but it is very unlikely.

UM doesn't belong in the top 25.
