Dabo seems to like living in Clemson.

The only advantage Alabama has is a willingness to pay more. UGA will pay well and give access to players who will kick Bama arse. I think Kirby would rather be on the winning side.

I'd like to see Bama get Kiffin.

Given the amount of money Saban has convinced Alabama to give him, they obviously don't think they can win that much without him. I think that shows that it is the coach that attracts players, not the 'tradition' of the football program.

Just paying market value.

Alabama should have leverage in salary negotitions if their tradition, facilities, etc is better than the rest.

You shouldn't have to pay market value because of this leverage.

Alabama is admitting that there are a ton of comparable programs out there when they pay that much.

It kind of seems like kids don't care about how many titles a program won back in the 1960s. lol

So we should tell our coach that he shouldn't get paid what he's worth because he's at Alabama? Wow.

This is why no one mentioned in this thread will choose the Bama job. No one wants to follow "The guy."

There aren't many programs that going pay Saban that much. lol

He's not worth that much money in anny real sense anyway. He's just coaching a game.

The point is, Bama clearly believes only a few coaches can recruit good players to Bama. That's why they pay so much and they don't promote from within.

It seems like the likely person to succeed Saban would be his OC or DC but nobody even mentions that as a possibility. lol

Hell, one of the things our near century of success has brought is money, but now you're saying we can't use it?

Take a look at how much money he helps bring in and get back to me.

Holy shite, this flawed logic is unbelievable.

It isn't flawed. You and other Alabama homers constantly talk about how Alabama is the best job as far as ability to win, facilities, etc, but yet Bama pays top dollar for a coach.

IF what you say is true, Bama should be able to set its own price and get a good coach. Saban shouldn't be calling the shots.

If Alabama is a plug and play situation, then a decent coach and recruiter should be able to get it done there. No reason to pay extra for a big name.

You can find guys out there that know as much about football as Saban and have better personalities. Why couldn't they be successful at Alabama.

I've never said that, but it is one of the best. And one of the reasons that it's one of the best, is because we have the money to give you just about anything you want, if you warrant it.

Dabo may end up being a legend at Clemson.. hard to see him leave when he's the big dog in the ACC.

But you never know what college football is going to look like by the time Saban leaves. That could be 5 years from now.

Come to Athens and see for yourself. The campus and facilities are gorgeous. And even more improvements are planned. Today the announcers for the UGA / Temple basketball game on SEC network were talking about how beautiful the basketball facility is. A great renovation! Envy makes people say some strange things. Say what you want. We know what we've got and its pretty damn great and only getting better.

I didn't say shite about Athens.

But you thinking Auburn's stadium is nicer than Alabama's kind of makes your opinion of what's nice null and void.
