Something seemed off about that guy. Like he was living a lie maybe? Any Gator fans want to chime in?

I know this a NYC cop, but you'll never convince me that it isn't McElwain.

1. Ruined relationships in recruiting with a lot of high schools in Florida
2. Had a subpar S&C program that had players going outside of the UF facilities to lift
3. Lied to the administration and athletic department about the death threats thing in UGA week of 2017
4. Refused to adjust his offense to what UF players did well.
5. Acted like an arrogant a-hole to UF alumni like Spurrier
6. Did not attempt to engage student body and create enthusiasm for the team on campus; ironically, the term "Dead fish" he likes to use described the environment around the coaching staff even during the 6-0 start in 2015 perfectly.

So, why did Florida go after McElwain in the first place? That question has never been given a satisfactory answer.

He did a pretty good job as Bama's OC and the CSU HC. Plenty of programs take a chance on G5 coaches.

Foley screwed up and went after another Saban guy who he thought would fix the offense.

I hollered up at Ethel, I said, "Don't look, Ethel!"
But it was too late. She'd already got a free shot.
Grandstandin', right there in front of the home team.
