Well, that wouldn't be fair to Spurrier seeing as the SEC has spotted Georgia Big East-like schedules two years running and still Richt can't seem to do anything with it other than get beat in Georgia's biggest regular season game en route to yet another disappointing showing in the SEC Championship game.

Please tell me you aren't talking about USC.

When's the last time Georgia students TP'd and egged their QB's house for losing to Florida?

Is it a big game for Georgia when they get beat by Florida almost every time? They expect to lose that one.

Welp, by that criteria, I guess Georgia's biggest game isn't SC, because SC beats UGA more regularly nowadays than Florida beats UGA.

A serious answer is Bobo- he has been groomed for the position for a few years now to anyone who cares to see it.

To the USCe fans, Jesus, you are dumb.

I hope to hell not. We either need a proven HC or Kirby.

This dude is a moron. Our biggest SEC game will always be UF. You would think they would be satisfied with their rivalry with Clemson but they want our acknowledgment so bad.

How do I know you're a USC fan? Because your post has no basis in reality.

Lets go step by step.

1). USC cannot slip back into mediocrity. They were never mediocre. You've always been much worse than mediocre. In the last 50 years you've had 9 coaches, only three of which had winning records during their tenures. Despite Spurriers improvement of the program you're still under .500 over the last 50+ years. Averaging a losing season and 2/3 coaches being losers since the days prior to color television is not mediocrity. It's called being terrible.

2). UGA has been solid the last 50 years. Since Dooley took over in '64, UGA has a 69% winning percentage, even when including the failure that was Goff. Goff is the outlier that brings us down, not the norm. UGA returning to its normal form would mean continued quality football. For comparison sake, other programs over the approximate same time span have the following winning percentages - LSU - 65%, UF - 69%, Bama - 73%, AU - 65%, UT - 67%. There's a reason these programs have battled for supremacy for the last 5 decades and are recognized as cornerstones of the conference. These are all good programs, not just occasional good players or an occasional good coach.

3). You didn't keep us out of the BCS title game in any of those seasons really. I guess that makes you feel good to say, but its not true. We beat you in 2002. In 2007 the loss that killed us was the 21pt loss to UT in the middle of the season, not the loss to USC. This past year, our loss to you meant nothing. We beat Bama and we play for the official title no matter what happened in our game.

4) Ray Goff, arguably our worst coach since 1910 was fired after winning 57% of his games. That's not good, but also clearly not the 4-6 wins a year you say. For reference sake, USC has had 24 coaches since 1910. Only 2 of them have more wins at USC than Goff had at UGA. Spurrier is one. Rex Enright who only won 64 games over 15 years is the other. In other words, Ray Goff would have been a coaching legend at USC with his same numbers so be careful who you bad mouth. Our worst coach in the last 100 years would be your 2nd best.

For the foregoing reasons, and many others, UGA does not have to be concerned with dropping off the map when Richt leaves. USC on the other hand should hope it finds a Goff like replacement for Spurrier.

Remember that time Bacarri Rambo claimed Marcus Lattimore "wasn't very tough" after Lattimore ran over him numerous times in one game?

Ha, I do. Rambo is the definition of a "bitch", someone who runs their mouth and cant back it up.

Before the SECCG Rambo started running his dick sucker as usual......and then the game was actually played. There's a UGA fan in my office, and I had a bet with him on when Rambo would quit during the game. Well, I won.

Sure enough the 3rd quarter comes around and Rambo pulls a Rambo. The funny thing is Gary Danielson actually calls him out on it. It went something like -

"Ugh, I think Rambo just declined the hit. Yea....he just declined the hit on Lacy, he did......wow"

It was hilarious, the guy had a clear hit on Lacy and pulled an "ooh laay" kind of move.

I mean the guy changed his name from Fudge to Rambo. Talk about little dick syndrome. Funny shite nonetheless.

Ha, gotta love this guy. Dude knows more insignificant stats than anyone in the SEC.

If UGA can find another Buck Belue then they might have a shot. We'll see....

“When people see the name ‘Rambo’ on the back of my jersey, they expect me to be a hard-nosed killer with a scarf around my head and paint under my eyes,” he told the AP in 2010. “If I was playing in the secondary and named Fudge, everybody would say I was soft. I went from being soft to being hard.“

This cracks me up, here is a refresher course:
UGA has the 3rd most SEC titles in history

If you root for an SEC team not named Florida or LSU you should probably not run your mouth too much about Richt because you have a losing record against him. 11 of the 13 SEC teams have a losing record to terrible old Mark Richt.

The best is the Tennessee fans, you're 4-8 soon to be 4-9 vs. Richt. How bad could he suck and if he sucks what does that make you?

Remember that only a few short years ago UGA was 6-7 and lost to freaking UCF in bowl game...but Richt somehow escaped and wiggled off the hook. The leghumpers were all ready to tar and feather Richt two years ago when he started out 0-2 but then got softer schedule for the middle of the season.

He is the HC of a school who has had to keep the DC on a leash...the DC who made a choking sign with his hand around his throat when UF's FG kicker lined up to kick the winning FG. BTW the kickers parents both went to UGA and werent too thrilled to see an asst coach act like that and Richt had to make Grantham apologize. You add up the end zone celebration that turned real ugly the next year when UF took the mutts behind the woodshed and beat em raw and then called two time outs in the last minute of play to rub it in...I am sure Richt will never celebrate en mass again.

This thread is awesome.

For once we get an SEC East shitshow.

Feels good to just sit back and watch.

Maybe not, but you know what he will do again? Beat Muschamp's arse. Enjoy it again for the 3rd straight time this November

Thank you for proving my point. Georgia and Clemson fans sure do love their history lessons.

I don't blame you. If my team couldn't beat lowly South Carolina, I'd bring up history in every argument too.

You like history so much? Here's a history lesson for you:
No one cares what Georgia football accomplshed 20+ years ago. Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, and LSU all have achieved more than Georgia in the last 20 years. Even though Georgia is the only real program in one of the best high school football states in the country.

It's freaking hilarious how delusional you Georgia fans are. Georgia fans are the only ones who believe their football program is in the upper echelon of the SEC.
