This is mainly for people that have the belief that once Spurrier leaves (not til 2017 anyways) that USC will slip back into mediocrity. So if you believe that, what about when Richt leaves (or gets fired from) Georgia? He's their second best coach all-time but can't seem to get to the top even with the elite talent in their state and an instate rival that doesn't provide too much competition. The closest they've gotten is this past year, 2002, and 2007. In two of those years a loss to USC helped keep them out of the BCSNCG.

Georgia is a great program no doubt but only one National Championship in their history (though if you talked to one of their fans you'd think they'd have more than Bama) and that was 30+ years ago. Before Richt though, in the '90s, they were awfully mediocre.

Once Richt leaves are they gonna slip back to where they were in the '90s winning 4-6 games most years? Maybe not but if Richt can't get it done Idk if there's another Vince Dooley out there to get them a National Championship.

UGA could be a monster. I hope Richt stays for a long long time.

UGA is the next sleeping giant to awaken. If they get the right coach in there, they'll be bigger than LSU.

A LOT of dawgs wanted him gone after 35-7. But they turned the season around and had a great year. He really is one of their best coaches ever, not sure why you'd want him to stay a long time.

Richt is a good coach sought of like Tuberville was at Auburn. Just enough to have winning seasons, but never enough to go all the way.

Georgia is an extremely talented state and could be a monster with the right coarch.

he's like 2002-2008 Fulmer. have 10 win seasons here and there, and have a couple of .500 seasons.

even in those 10 win seasons he gets blown out by Boise State and South Carolina. in 2007 season he got blown out by UT (28-0 at halftime)

To be fair, Tubs did go undefeated but got shafted by the BCS so USC could blow out Oklahoma.

I don't think Auburn would've beaten that USC team but I don't think it would've been 55-19 or whatever.

Richt has been consistently good to great. Last year's team was really close to playing in the NC game.

well, that's why I compare him to Tubs. I think even if UGA upsets Bama last year, I don't feel good about them beating Notre Dame in the NC game like you would with a Bama or LSU.

Alabama and LSU styles are similar. That's why the games between them are always close. They pound the ball on offense and let the defenses take care of business. I just think UGA would have let Notre Dame in the game more than they should be.

We have 2 consensus national titles which is also what the university claims.

However we've been declared national champs by one NCAA recognized poll 5 times

No UGA fans ever said we have more then Bams
