So, what exactly did LSU fans expect?

Y’all went 5-5 last year and hired two coordinators with practically zero experience calling plays. Sure, I thought you would beat UCLA in a close one, but I don’t see how y’all struggling early is much of a surprise.

Didn't really know what to expect although I did have some hope that the team had improved at least marginally.

We lost in every plain of the game. Sure, we might have gotten out coached and out schemed, but we were physically dominated to boot. I thought we had the studs to be competitive despite coaching.

I think we do, but O's "NFL style" practices as he calls them have made the team soft IMO

They had faith in Eaux’s intensive interview and vetting process for the new coaches.

And they were playing the sissy blue shirts. LSU was coming and they weren’t backing down.

Appreciate the responses. I had you guys for 7-5 to 8-4 coming into the season. I still think that’s around where you end up. Y’all have plenty of talent, and those coordinators should grow into it. Not sure if that is good enough to keep O’s job though. Dude staked his job on hiring great coaches, so it will be a tough sell for him.

Improvement over last year…crazy, I know.

Calling my shot, EO fired the Sunday after Kentucky.

2020 LSU would've been 8-4 or 7-5 in a normal season so I would've said 9-3 prior to this game, with hopes that the team had improved.

However, it looks as though they haven't at all so I think you're pretty spot on.

I think a lot of the defensive struggles go back to Orgeron inexplicably trying to switch to a 4-3 with 3-4 players, especially in a year with no offseason last year and it still doesn't seem to working.

Then you change offensive line coaches halfway through the offseason.

Moronic.

I expected some form of competence but frick ME for expecting that, right Coach O!?

At this point I’d take back Les “come see my apartment, pretty girls” Miles in a heartbeat. LSU is officially a dumpster fire.

I wouldn't go that far, Miles was pretty bad towards the end of his tenure and made zero attempts to develop quarterbacks or modernize the offense.

I was genuinely expecting improvement from last year and to win a tight one against UCLA

Joke’s on me I have an idiot ogre for a head coach

I expected them to show some pride and bounce back strong.

Ed has 2 upcoming games to get it all worked out. Too soon to panic.

Beside UCLA might be much better than many believe.

It’s Gene Chizik all over again. We Auburn fans tried to tell them.

Expected improvement in literally any phase from the worst season in 2 decades. Think that’s reasonable, but Orgeron doesn’t apparently

I was saying this exact thing Saturday night. Their defense was next to last in the conference last season and the offense was inconsistent at best. I know fans want to block out the negative and focus on the positive. But you still have to be realistic.

I think they will get better, but the question is can Oregon learn how to shut his mouth? That I sincerely doubt ...
