I don’t see the hypocrisy. His opinion would probably be that the kid that’s visiting isn’t committed to Notre Dame.
Hypocrisy would be for him to tell guys to look around that have been committed to OU and not taking visits elsewhere.

Using BV’s analogy, he wants someone to marry him and not cheat on him…. While he’s out cheating every weekend…

He is saying go be a whore get all that whoring out but we may fill that whoring spot while you're being a whore and when you take my offer to be one of my whores your whoring days are over.

To 18 year olds who change their mind about everything every week.
It is a bold strategy. One that isn't new (it appears to be the ACC way of life with Clemson and GT adopting this).
How long until OU fans get discouraged when 18 year olds share with one another their disagreements/arguments with the OU staff. Nothing is worse than being negatively recruited by kids (not coaches)

Lol. You may not but his bs hypocrisy will be plain to see to the recruits he’s asking not to take visits , and it will matter in the long run.
Ou commit A - let’s do that trip next weekend
Ou commit B - but Venables asked us not to take trips after we commit
Ou commit A - screw that sht. He still recruiting commits at other teams
Ou commit B - you right. Lets do it

Most other coaches, including Saban, the best recruiter ever in college football

You’re confusing what Venables said. He said don’t commit until you’re 100% in. Take visits until you’re solid. Idk why ppl find this so hard to understand.
He’s getting blue chip talent, either way, so doesn’t matter to me how he gets it done.

How do flip kids who aren't actually committed? That's a new one or me.

Venables doesn't tell recruits not to take visits, morons.

I prefer Saban's approach which is basically "if you're still looking, we're still looking. When you get through and decide you want to come here, I hope we still have a spot left."
Unfortunately, getting this generation to understand what "commitment" means is probably a lost cause.

Maybe it's that Oklahoma education of yours. Is the degree printed on TP?

Who cares?
He’s trying to recruit for OU. I have no problem with this.
