The proper channels have been alerted. I hope this guy doesn't mind "falling up the stairs jokes". Or he can just get ready for a bunch of jokes he does mind.

I'm not saying he didn't break a law, I was just wondering what law you were referring to. I agree he shouldn't be discussing it online.

He gets what he deserves, If he doesn't understand his job as an athletic director then Throw him to wolves. Kids in high school should be protected not thrown under a bus

Easiest way to get the mullet nations panties in a wad....1 make fun of the bear and/or Saban....2 explain to them and show them proof that they do not have 14 national championships...3 call them cheaters and show them the paper trail ( unlike the newton accusations where there is no evidence...nice try turds) ok all bammers can go back to eating twinkies and cutting off the sleeves of their shirts now

That a student had discussed transferring with an administrator. That his ability to qualify was in question. It is illegal for a school administrator to disclose either to the public. Not even to mention how hilariously unprofessional it is to go on a football forum and post it.
If its not illegal, why is the trashball lying about someone else posting it on his laptop?
Discussing about a former student transferring to another school after the fact is not unethical, especially when the information of the transfer is already public knowledge. There is no attorney-client privilege between a prep football player and a prep FB coach. And if that kid was going to be academically ineligible for Washington, that info is also not privileged, as it would soon be known by all who follow his recruitment once the season begins and he's not playing.
Pretty much a student-athlete's private info such as grades and academic standing is as protected at the college level as it is at the high school level: both kids are amateur athletes playing for an educational institution. But whenever a college kid gets academic suspension or is ruled academically ineligible, it's reported by most if not all college FB programs, including Saban and Alabama.
As long as the coaches don't delve into specifics on course grades, etc. there's usually no problem with it. If the player doesn't play or isn't on the team no more, the knowledge of it typically gets found out regardless....

After the fact? What are you talking about?

Dont see any problems for Bama, but this dude is probably in deep that posted. Will lose his job and possibly get prosecuted.

Don't see any problem for a tenured teacher as he did not give out any protected information. Maybe the Alabama assistant should sue him as his character is being attacked.

From Charles Power on bol:
"it's also worth noting that Paige's teammate and 3-star prospect Dejon Funderburk transferred to Milton High School in Baghdad, Florida"
I guess some school is leading him away as well.

You people are ridiculous to think he will be prosecuted haha....bama fans really up in arms about this

I was about to ask about the other kid transferring from Washington High School. I guess it's fine since he stayed in Florida.
Posted on 8/7/12 at 9:26 pm to TideWarrior
Someone needs to tell Charles that Milton High School happens to be in Milton, FL.
Posted on 8/7/12 at 9:27 pm to WDE24
But he still left Washington High School for what I believe is a rival school.

Did an college coach arrange the transfer after asking if Washington was going to work with them on grades? If not, what is the point?

I'm still waiting for actual evidence that Jeremy Pruitt did anything.
