The point is God is the seeker, not humanity. We don't go looking for him.

Then why do so many Protestants keep asking me if I've "found our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"?

Shouldn't they be asking if He has found me?

That is quoting Psalm and it's talking about the foolish don't seek God.

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

It doesn't mean you aren't supposed to seek.

I did a book report on 'The Emmitt Zone' when I was in middle school and he spoke at length about his hatred for the University of Georgia in his autobiography.

Why childrens cancer? Commercials all over tv asking for donations to save infants from horrific deaths from cancer. Why allowing children to starve in countries like Ethiopia with flys crawling all over their body?....what is the point if there is a God? Make children suffer to make others prove they believe? Show me in the bible where it says children should be made an example of and put to death. When actually the bible....Jesus in particular....says the children are the most blessed.... Let the children come, do not hinder them...for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these. and again....how so?....with cancer and famine taking millions of childrens lives and making them suffer unimaginable deaths.

Because this isn't God's kingdom. These things you list should be clues.

If you want to live in a society without these things, then you must keep the commandments. If you are a thief, then you can't be in a society without theft, because your very presence destroys that place. If you kill people, you can't live in a society without murder, and so on. If you can't give others freedom, you will not have any.

And the most popular way people sin is through government.

We have to be careful not to judge God based on emotions. Having an unpleasant reaction to something doesn’t mean there is no good reason for that thing to exist.

The Scriptures teach that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and none does good, not one. All have sinned in Adam through the covenant of works (the concept of original sin). We are also told that the soul that sins shall die.

There is no one who is innocent, not even children. Children show the fruit of their sinful natures from a very early age, and God owes no one eternal life, nor a pleasant experience in this life.

We also know is that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those called according to His purpose, and whatever is done is for God’s glory. That means even sin and evil arises by God for a greater good.

Think of the crucifixion of Jesus, the Son of God: that was the most evil act ever performed, yet God planned it and used it for the purpose of saving sinners who do not deserve it. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, and he told them that while they meant it for evil, God meant it for good.

All that to say, God allows and even utilizes the evil actions of sinners for good. He is a good God and cannot sin, so we most trust that all bad circumstances are ultimately for good.

Do you think a “year” in the old testament and a calendar year now are the same thing?

God named him Israel for a reason. You are going to struggle with God, and not understand him.

The bible never promises you a fun or happy life. Mostly the opposite.
