Yeah no one minds live mascots but Bevo can provide as much danger as a mascot like Mike. If you’re going to bring him places he needs a pen capable of holding him so that he can’t harm the general public. What happened wasn’t the animals fault it was thenidiots that orchestrated it.

they want us to kill mascots?

That doesn't sound like ethical treatment.

Unless we're talking about that West Virginia hillbilly

I’m certain that peta’s goal is to make life as miserable as possible. Like those douchebags in Wisconsin who constantly bring lawsuits against any school having a Christmas party.

PETA is infamous for killing most of the animals they take in. At a much higher rate then most animal shelters I might add. They are quite an odd little band of weirdos.

I predicted this in one of the scoreboard threads but it was on the premise that if something had happened people would demand an end to all live mascots.

PETA kills people's pets. They should never be listened to. If the humane society speaks up I'll at least listen but PETA is just a group of attention whores with no real love for animals.

Dogs and such are fine, but having a loosely-restrained 2,000 pound steer inside a stadium is a bad idea.

I have always wanted live Gators outside the Swamp near the side where the opposing team comes in. But just not possible to congested an area. Would be cool though.

PETA is notorious for killing animals. They're not for ethical anything, at least not anymore.

This exactly. Television wanted to get a shot of the two mascots together, and now they are getting tons coverage. They are thrilled about their attention, but if someone had gotten hurt it would have gotten ugly fast.

Didn't Texas used to run him out onto the field with two guys running beside him with ropes, or something?
