Kelly should just keep coming to work and acting like he's still the coach.

Why? He hates it LSU, LSU hates him, and they have to pay him anyway. If my employer said "you're fired, but you'll keep getting your paychecks as usual", I'd be down.

I was under the impression the Canes BMD was the one who signaled the firing? He must have known the buyout amount. Why go with the termination only to backtrack? Bad look for LSU.

Chicken tender guy. Whatever. You want pure buyout power, you better get your arse into some pressure treated pine.

Holy moly. They were just live on SEC Sidlines and said LSU is claiming morality issues, criminal and NCAA violations. They should just pay this man before the whole bag of dirt gets dumped on the floor.

That's why he should keep coming in, until they pay him to go away.

Morality: sex with the realtor?

And they’re doing this unironically as they’re trying to convince Lane Kiffin to coach there?

Most likely scenario is that Woodward made an emotional firing decision and the response from the governor was actually a reasonable one due to a dumpster fire situation in which the team quit on the coach but they were unprepared for the situation due to an incompetent AD who was unprepared financially without signed commitments and unprepared as far as not having someone lined up as a replacement with an agreed to number to execute with the boosters.
